...thanks for the review Juan. I absolutely love my Fast Kumo 36. Roughly about 30 trail running miles here in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness...hoping to heal up soon and do our scheduled 100k this summer. Super comfortable (love the shoulder straps), I've switched over from my UltrAspire Epic XT 2.0 (but not my Salomon Adv Skin 12 🙂) and haven't looked back...

Thanks for the positive feedback and the additional insight into this pack. I’ve found this pack to be extremely functional and I find myself finding ways to use it on my “normal” backpacking trips now.

I found the hip belt pretty useless especially when running
@juanbackpacks
@juanbackpacks Жыл бұрын
@@georgemartin6389 Lucky it is removable. I can see myself disconnecting it from the pack in certain situations for sure. When I’m running .. at least for me it keeps the pack from jostling around.

I love that fast pack! I’m leaving in a week to do the Tahoe Rim Trail and if it wasn’t snow covered, I’d likely have just used the fast pack for this trip.. with a lot of snow I need extra gear so the fastpack will have to wait till I get back. I’ve got over 300 miles on that fastpack so far and I”m loving it!

Great video! What is the name of the 100 mile event you were referring to?
@juanbackpacks
@juanbackpacks Жыл бұрын
It’s the Allegheny 100. It’s a fund raiser for the North Country Trail.

Very interested in this pack. Have you been out with it more since filming this? Any update on the durability of the pack? That's always my concern with super lightweight packs as I'm anything but nice to my gear.
@juanbackpacks
@juanbackpacks Жыл бұрын
I probably have about 250 miles of use on the pack. No durability issues. I like the packe even more after using it a lot. I just did the Laural Highlands Trail with it and loved it. You are right though. The material is not the most durable you can use to make a pack but mine has held up just fine and I don’t baby it.

Hey great video! I'm not a faspacker but I'm super interested in this backpack. How do you feel about the hipbelt? Does it provide any support? I'm looking at options for a thru hike and I will probably start with a pretty heavy load.
@juanbackpacks
@juanbackpacks Жыл бұрын
The hip belt is made to rest higher than on a normal pack so it is more conducive to runnning/jogging. It won’t help much in load transfer because of that. The pack seems like it would be ok around 20lbs total weight but much over that and you might want another pack. I have a g-4 20 by gossamer gear and I love that pack for ultalight backpacking purposes and total pack weights around 25lbs

Hey Juan, I noticed that your right soft flask pokes out of the pocket a little. Does the bottle slosh around or become less secure as you run and drink?
@juanbackpacks
@juanbackpacks Жыл бұрын
It stays in place no problem. I actually just didn’t push it down as deep in the pocket after using it.
