It looks so much like your old home, which is wonderful. You both have had an amazing attitude throughout the whole experience, even in the beginning. It's still sad the paper documents like John's music, Rachel's notebooks, and pictures I that can't be replaced. It makes me realize thought I should be scanning documents to my computer and then saving them to the cloud.

I lost everything I owned of value to fighting cancer. I had to sell or lost anything of value I worked hard for all of my life just to keep going. Unfortunately, there is no insurance for that. Now starting over at almost 60 I wonder if it was worth it. I try every day to be grateful, I honestly do.

It's much easier to bounce back from devastation when you have a net worth of a 100 million dollars. My best friend and her husband recently lost their home and everything in it to the Bootleg Fires of Oregon. They weren't left with so much as their toothbrushes. The Red Cross handed them a shovel and a sifter and said, 'here you go!'. Because they lived in a rural area, they could not be insured. A Go Fund Me account only rendered them about $3000.

So very happy you were able to get that rebuild done. I know you are anxious to make new memories in it. On the flip side, the intimate shows from the guest house have been great. When God closes a door he opens a window. He has truly blessed you and John and y'all have blessed us with sharing all of this to give hope to those going through similar tragedy the strength to carry on. I know John was probably apprehensive to be the camera man and become a huge part of the show in the process but I am so glad he did. It has been great being able to share your lives in a more intimate way. Helps your audience connect to you closer. I miss the studio because I'm sure it was a lot easier having your guests live and in person but I gotta tell ya.....y'all got in there and made it work at home....May God Bless you both with many more happy and healthy years together. Oh and just saying....I would be happy for the show to stay just like it is....I enjoy the more intimate shows personally.

My daughter, son-in-law and their 7 children lost their house 2 years ago due to a faulty oven. The important thing is that know one got hurt, although they did lose 2 pets from smoke inhalation. They have re-built, but that feeling of loss still is with them. God brought them through it.

Just need to have a regular cleaning schedule by a professional Chimney Sweep! We had a Chimney fire due to the same thing, thankfully we were home and called 911 fast. I repaired the small amount that had burned, and purchased a more efficient wood stove, plus enlisted the services of a Credible Chimney Sweep! No judgement….it happens to the best of us! Thankfully no lives lost. 💕🤗

The expense of having someone come to clean your flue once a month if you are unable to do it yourself is better than insurance. We have a wood burning stove and do ours every two weeks during the season. Even with the proper kind of properly seasoned wood we still have build up.
