I think this is the first time I've left a comment.. but I just had to. I've watched a lot of unboxings over the years however this one really took me by surprise! The two words that come to mind for this box was "quality" and "creativity"! I live in the US and unfortunately I cannot afford to purchase anything at this time (so disappointed!) however I just had to give a high five to the creators of this box. The poster was my favorite too, and the writing reminded me of the "Lord of the Rings" as well, you took the words right out of my mouth! LOL Thank you for your review, you are simply delightful (and your sons too!).

I dont know what kind of wall space you have, but i would frame and mat the poster, tea towel, and all of the cards. They are way too pretty to just store away. Such a beautiful box. Its not everyday that we see Victoria Maclean speechless. They did good! XO!

Mist & Magic never disappoints! Their boxes have been amazing from the start 😍 I love everything in this box and it’s so hard to pick my favourite but it’s gotta be the Restorative Potion. I wish that I can afford the box but the shipping is insanely expensive 😭 I’m so thankful that you’re making these unboxing videos so I can still enjoy the box! Thank you so much 😘❤️❤️❤️ P.S. There were actually 2 boxes before this one. I think the first is Magical Creatures themed and the second one is Magical Shops themed

Mist and Magic is my favourite box. I love the fact that it doesn't scream Harry Potter. But this is not a subscription box. They don't come out regularly like monthly or bi-monthly. They announce it on their website once a new box is in the making and a release date. There's so much work and love in Mist and Magic boxes.

!My favorite item would definitely be the moonwater elixir poster! However, I REALLY love the phoenix's tears pin. I waited ages to watch this video as I didn't want to see any spoiler and I don't regret it. This box was amazing, but in its own special way. We might not feel like we are getting a lot of items, but their quality definitely make up for that! I've never seen that level of quality in my other subscription boxes.

Dawn, sort of - its an Irish Celt phrase that means "summers end" also used as you rightly said an old meaning used for "Halloween".... 👍👍🍻🍻

Well it's not really an old meaning used for halloween. It is more the celebrations halloween is inspired of and still being celebrated today, to mark the intrance in the " darker half " of the year. More about the outherworld and divination if I must say, only being generic about the whole thing. Halloween come from "All Hallow's eve " wich was a creation from the church to celebrate de saints on October 31st with the attempt to absorb the pagan celebrations. As much as many other celebrations like yule. They had to find a way to attract people during that specific time so nobody would pay attention to Samhain nor celebrate it without being juge by Christians. Making it sacred. Also Samhain is more on November 1st!

What I really like about Mist & Magic is that they create their own version of the wizarding world. I guess it's also a good way to stay out of trouble with Warner Bros. The poster also reminded me of the phial of Galadriel and elvish writing. The light of Earendil (air-en-dill) was from the star that was reflected in Galadriel's mirror (water). Earendil was Elrond's father, a mortal, who sailed to the Valar (gods) to ask for help in Middle-earth. He wasn't allowed to return to Middle-earth, but was set as a star in the heavens, sailing his ship across the sky. The other print reminded me of Nicolas Flamel. Samhain is pronounced sow- (as in female pig) -ween. Its Irish for Halloween. And there's your lesson for today hahaha. ❤️

It would be fun for them to have beautifully designed stirring implements if they revisit potions in the future. I'm actually surprised they didn't have more already made potions. I would have added a set of small potions on a wooden chemistry stand. They could decorate it so beautifully. I have SO many ideas for them. This is the most inspired I've been for magic item creation since reading book 1-5 the first time (before HBP came out and I went nuts with writting HP ff. I'm talking 4 ffs going at the same time.) I really loved the tiny pumpkin Samhain "seeds" lol. I'm a HUGE fan of pumpkin EVERYTHING so it's no wonder. Man I want to make that potions stand so bad now. I have the pearlescent pigments to make them really pretty too... waaah. I need money haha. One day I'll make that potion set. And it will be glorious.

This box is amazing. I'm on their website. I am currently subscribed to LitJoy so the only issue I have is that I can't afford $150 USD/month in Harry Potter merch. I feel the same, I don't like the look of plasticized labels on potion bottles either. I believe they would not be using any type of plastic at all in the wizarding world. It just doesn't fit. Good old fashioned paper labels with the matte finish of the natural fiber is the way to go.
