I would go for Rex mainly but give a big shout out to Bijahn for his amazing work so I’m pretty happy with Bijahns seasons for the sim .

Rex Accuseasons is great as doing seasons, but my complaint about it is the strange and cumbersome UI, and the fact on each update you have to setup everything from scratch, as it forgets the settings..

Had Rex which was good, tried Bijan after his last recent update, and I am glad I did. Despite the automation that Rex has, Bijan killed it, and never went back. Going to stick with Bijan.

I just tried out Global Trees and I've reverted back to Rex. Maybe if they added stronger ground masking it would be worth it, but I get the old ugly bright green ground colors on mountain sides and it doesn't blend in well with the trees. I might go back to it if they added better ground masking.

I had a look at REX and of course the good work done by Bijahn. Could not decide at the time which one to choose, and MSFS 2024 is around the corner. In the end I went for someting simpler, namely " Realistic Tree Height by 4 Simmers ", which of course does not offer seasons, but the tree height is improved. However this product does look intertesting, but for me I will wait to see what MSFS 2024 offers. We are so close to that release now. Thank you for this interesting insight from Orbx.

this addon is for 2020, not 2024. 2024 is not even out yet How is it that simmers make such a basic mistake by bringing in2024, when 2024 is not even out yet. And this is actually for 2020. This is such a basic mistake simmers claim to be in for "realism", only be very unrealistic users in their pursuit of it......

Can we wait for FS24 to actually release before we start praising the graphics and how much better there going to be please. Asobo have promised much that has never actually been delivered, in the past. How many years after release and still no replay facility or classic viewing system for FS2020.

I don't know if this is the same product I bought from them before, it had a way to make smaller trees, (but hardly noticeable), but changing the seasons really screwed up where I fly because I fly in Washington State, we have Pine trees. But when I'd change to fall colors ect, it changed all the trees to some kind of ugly rounded top trees. It was a waste of money, I'm betting this is waste of money plus. yeah, it was Rex Accuseasons. You proved my point, your favorite airport normal with pine trees, and winter in Rex Accuseason rounded crappy trees that don't live there. Bought it when it came out, and have no use for it.

Orbx have certainly tried hard. The rival products are considerably more expensive to buy, so I'll need to think twice. One thought though - is this install and forget? Do I have to manually change the weather? I usually fly both in real time and real weather, so I don't want to faff about resetting the weather regularly.

In the UK in winter, contrary to what you say, the grass is green; it’s browner in summer, especially if there’s a bit of a drought. So ORBX looks more realistic than Rex.

I had already REX and tried the Orbx Trees. as i now see later in the latter part of your video.......strange tree shapes en see throughs. I uninstalled Orbx Trees but still have these strange trees. What to do to get rid of this?

Okay, Rex terrain looks more realistic in winter, but when it comes to the trees, Orbx is superior. In real world decidous trees don't have this brownish autumn look like Rex decidous trees have in winter. IRL decidous trees are greyish to blackish in winter, so more like the Orby trees are. The reason why Orbx trees at the little airfield look greener in general than Rex trees in winter is, that the displayed Orbx trees are mostly fir trees and spruces, which stay green in winter, whereas the Rex trees are all decidous trees for some reason. I do not know which kinda trees are at this airfield in IRL, but I am sure you will know Gavin. I would go for the product, which displays the correct biom, I.e. fir trees where there are fir trees IRL and decidous trees, where there are decidous trees IRL. So one of the two products is doing completely wrong in the example with the little airfield at the end of the video.

Gavin is your local airfield Netherthorpe Airfield, near Worksop? Im from Northern Ireland but family near Rotherham got me a couple of flight lessons there, perhaps 10 years ago. I recognise the layout of the airfield and buildings

The only problems i have with MSFS trees is that they are TOO TALL!. From this video here i noticed that ORBX trees are the same too tall trees so i pass on this one.
