I'm going to add Altered Carbon to the list of good SF shows, along with The Orville and The Expanse. I wasn't too thrilled with the book, but it ended up working much better as a TV show for me.

It basically makes you appear like you're on a different computer, which is great for privacy reasons, but also means you can watch things like you're in the US or something.

Dear Seth. I love this show. It is original, it is fresh, and yet it is closer to Trek than Discovery. :D But please remember this. No matter how good the special effects are, the quality of the story HAS to come FIRST! Look at the show "Killjoys". They manage to tell great stories without too much effects. That is what makes great entertainment. Can't wait to see the second season, but I will have to wait a bit longer, as I am living in Germany. :(
