The entrance area to go see the penguins is the same entrance that they had before for the old ride. Looks like the same video as well. Glad they kept that the same.

Definitely noticed they kept a lot of things from before, but still glad to have the penguins back! Plus, looking forward to the ride opening!

@@MidwayMayhemChannel honestly, what was there before was fine. i don't mind that they kept it as is. less money on theming needing to be spent that could have gone else where. and it looks like they did exactly that. im sure the coaster queue line might also be the same as what was there before, with a few alterations.

The "darkness" is because they go along with the sunrise for the penguins to simulate their actual habitat the best they can. I asked the same question, found it interesting :)

I must be honest when I say that I still wish they kept Antartica: Empire of the Penguin, because now they have fewer rides to do when it rains, and I feel the same way about the removal of Turtle Trek and Wild Artic as well.
