They mirror well known tracks from around the world on a frozen lake that are scaled accurately. literally my #1 dream car since I played NFS Porsche when I was 6 years old...why did my child self have to fall in love with a car that's among the rarest of them all and practically unavailable even with unlimited money? The 98 model is by far my favorite, and because it didn't count as a new car they could "cheat" with the homologation...only ONE road version exists of that car, owned by Porsche themselves and located at the Porsche museum in Stuttgart. Maybe you could get one of the 4 race cars for an unreasonable price and homologize it independantly...the most literal DREAM car I can think of, where even in my dreams I have to be creative to get one because money alone won't suffice

That one Street Version was the only requirement by the FIA for the 1998 Season of the Le Mans 24 Hours to allow them to Race so only 1 911 GT1-98 was made. Yes, it is now in the Porsche Museum in Germany in a plain white color scheme! I like to talk to Porsche once I become a MULT-MILLIONAIRE and ask them to make me a dozen each of the 1996, 1997 and 1998 street versions! Porsche should make a 2027 992 version of the 911 GT1 same shape, low, flat and long BUT WITHOUT THOSE SHARK FINS AT THE BACK!
@AgeofJP2 күн бұрын
@@GoodBoy-io6fd it was the PC version of that game which was pretty different, went a little more into a sim-racing direction with the physics and tuning system, had more content...and it looked alot better. It both got me into gaming and made me a lifelong Porsche fan...it even had a modding community that my father teached me to navigate even at that age. I was browsing modded cars, downloaded and installed them LITERALLY before I could properly read. So yeah the game had all the cars you mentioned and then some, I think there were more Porsche that were included than excluded. And a very vivid memory I have from my first session in the game is driving the 993 that was unlocked from the start and chasing that one car that was leading every race and looked totally alien compared to all the others...a dark blue 98' GT1 and it was like a phantom at first, because I hadn't unlocked it I could only see it for moments on the track at the start of exhibition races until it drove away. That's why I know I "love" this car...because my experience with it was literally the stuff of romance. And it completely became the ideal of a car to me...if anything could be changed it's somewhat the front but everything else is just perfect to me. The front looks deceivingly friendly but still very slick, the side profile is curvy like a woman's body (a hot woman), downright sexy, and the rear has to be the most evil looking car perspective on any car I've ever seen. Like, I don't know who decided "instead of the 911 bumper let's just have no bumper" but I thank him because that black void is such a menacing look. I always loved these shark fins btw...the 935 Moby Dick was another car I fell in love with for that very reason. In terms of car love I guess you could consider shark fins a fetish of mine. And yes for basically ever I am hoping that the next Porsche hypercar would be a new GT1...get the person who designed the relatively recent 935 tribute redesign to do it, that one was superb. It'd be a shame if they don't revive this beauty before EU regulations move in even harder on combustion engines
@GoodBoy-io6fd2 күн бұрын
@@AgeofJP WE HAVE OUR OWN LIKES! Everyone is complaining about that shark fins! Many takes it as an ugly addition n aero dynamics because in the past we can get so much down force and go faster in turns even without those shark fins! The Sharkfins made The Aventador SVJ, Veneno and Huracan STO a bit ugly. The LMP-1, LMP-2 and Hypercar Category with Sharkfins ARE ALL UGLY RACE CARS! The Hypercar Class which is suppose to be road cars super cars and hyper cars to be allowed to enter the highest level of racing but it was ANOTHER LE MANS PROTOTYPE ONE APPEARANCE THAT IS JUST A DETUNED RACE CAR! People are clamouring to bring back the design of the beautiful race cars of the past in the Group C and GT1 category! We can get better aero dynamics, handling and down force without the use of those shark fins! Look at the speeds of cars from 1960 to 2000's before the shark fins emerge in the 2010's, those race cars can reach 400 KPH and can also enter and exit turns fast! I want FIA and WEC to remove those shark fins once the fastest road going cars or street cars will be allowed in the Hypercar class and will never look like the LMP-1! Someone here in youtube had a rendering of a 992 911 GT1 but not too much of a look of a long, low, wide and flat GT-1 Race Car. I nevew knew that there was a modding community of the Need For Speed: Porsche Unleashed on PC in the years 2001 and so on! OHHH, I WANT TO TELL YOU THAT YOU ARE TALKING TO A LAMBORGHINI FAN BOY!
