First Look: Woody Valley GTO Light 2

The GTO Light 2 from Woody Valley is definitely more of an evolution than a revolution, but it brings some welcome extras to the original design that we were already impressed with. We got to fly this updated version of the popular lightweight pod harness. Review in issue 217 (Feb / March 2021) of Cross Country Magazine.

why they placed the airbag only below the hips and don`t move it back up over the whole spine ??? There is space enough. That solution was only offered by karpofly and they are unfortunately broken. I don´t understand the manufactors at all. Harness, all, are different, one company size S is okay, another one XS oder M. No standard after 30 years ! If there would be a good , double airbag on a standard, all companies could use this and all sizes would be same. Individual opportunities further on are no problem. If the companies would produce at one producer all their harness types, the standard would be given, the best quality resulting and last but not least the best price. It also shows the failure and inability of glider national associations worldwide ( SHV DHV, ÖAEC etc. ) They have not at all a real tendency to work for the pilots together. Means a lot have to change for significant improvements. We the pilots pay that all, I think we should establish a own circle, to control the work of the national associations. Cause there are clearly signs for miss management and arrogance.

There is also a small foam protector around the coccyx/lower spine area, then a "lightshield" protector all the way up the back, same as advance.
