They are such a lovely duo! I’m in my mid-twenties and I frequently wish Billie Eilish had been around when I was a teenager. She seems to instill a lot of confidence in her fans by demonstrating the importance of being yourself and being honest about your emotions. It’s obvious Billie and Finneas grew up in an environment that fostered a lot of creativity and self-reflection. Being an artist means tapping into dark places in your mind, and they’re comfortable with that. Finneas articulates himself so well and Billie just consistently tries to be the most honest version of herself. I hope they can care for themselves and each other - it’s their best bet for staying healthy and sane in the music industry.

"When we talk to stranger about how we're feeling, they only hear our side & so they assume that they know what we're talking about. But... you know I've felt things that I try to describe & that people who have lived with me & are around are like... that's not at all how you're feeling. I can see how you're feeling & you know I think we just all lie to ourselves."
@sadhbhwhite885 жыл бұрын
Tbh I think her brother should get more attention. People are always saying how she's a genius and her lyrics are so deep but her brother writes most of her songs. Yes she does help buy it's quite obvious he does most of the work. I'm not saying she isn't talented she has a very good voice but her brother is so underrated. He might not want the fame but I think they shouldn't just act like Billie does everything. I feel he needs ALOT more credit for his amazing hard work. Just my opinion
@SnowLilies5 жыл бұрын
He doesn't write most of her songs, it's a collaboration on all fronts and they've made that pretty clear imo 🤷♀️ I love Finneas too but don't sell Billie short

Actually it's the both of them. It's not just her, it's not just him. They are both collaborative geniuses. He's not so much in the spotlight but I think it works for them so why question it. I dont honestly feel like she'll ever decide go off on her own without him.

I have sooo much respect for these two, and their incredible family for allowing the freedom for exploration and discovery. I have ALWAYS gotten shit for my "neutral state" or the fact that on any given day, what I crave and chase in life are things that inspire me and fulfill me are experiences that evoke a feeling of nostalgia, even for situations I may have never experienced, personally. "Why fo you always listen to such depressing songs?" Cause it has a notable emotional impact where very little things do. I have always been super sensitive to peoples energies, too. But honestly, I wish more people were familiar with Buddhist philosophy. Being in that state of "heightened energy" does that mean positive, happy all the time... it is the ability and skills to work through and release the energy which is not beneficial to us feeling fulfilled at that time.

This is so amazing that Billie and Finneas said all this about how you can be depressed and still be happy from time to time. I feel like not a lot of people understand that, so many people I’ve been depressed around say, “But you were happy five minutes ago!!” Idk, it’s just that depression isn’t always something that’s always shown, or felt. I can be a really happy person when I’m with my friends or my sister, but most of the time I’m really depressed. It’s just cool to me that these two understand that.
