How were you able to get 10.4.11? I have a copy of 10.4.10, but I believe you need .11 to make it work, is there a way to manually apply the .11 combo update to the pre-existing install files?

you don’t need 10.4.11 Should work with 10.4.10

Try Macintosh garden for a 10.4.10 image (note the iMac 10.4.10 image also works with mid 2007 Mac minis)

I remember getting the white iMac with Tiger installed. I would never forget about this iMac because I asked my boss for it in 2006 and she told me directly "There is no way in hell that we will get you an iMac". I then told her and her boss that I am quitting. Her boss gave me a big raise and the next morning I came in and this new shiny iMac with Tiger was set up on my desk. Such an amazing and beautiful machine and OS.

I installed and ran 10.4.11 on my late 08 macbook pro last month and the cursor was the older one checked software update and it downloaded about 7 update including a 10.4.11 package upgrade and it fixed the cursor. So not a graphics issue at all.

Will it boot from an internal partition, or only from a USB drive? During the lockdown here in NZ, I set up a multi-boot MacBook Pro 2007 with 10.4, 10.5, 10.6, 10.7, 10.8, 10.9, 10.10, 10.11, Windows Tiny7, Ubuntu, and Windows XP all on one internal 2TB drive. It's nice, though quite a bulky machine to carry around. I'm wondering about whether two computers: a MacBookAir1,1 (10.4-10.7) and MacBookAir6,1 (10.8-10.16) would be smaller.

@@iTechOSyoutube If you get a dual layer (8gb) DVD and burn a Snow leopard image onto it you can easily install on the 2011 Macbook Pro. I've done it a few times. BUT!!!!! Get a 10.6.7 image at the very least, it will work but you'll get a kernel panic, let it reboot as normal and it'll be fine. If you can find a 10.6.8 image that's perfect.

@@freetobe3 early 2011 and mid 2011 are natively supported but yeah the late 2011 got lion preinstalled so i think you're talking about this version

@@Philemax nope. Mine is a late 2011. Came with Lion but Snow Leopard can be installed with a 10.6.7 DVD although it'll be slightly buggy until updated to 10.6.8. I've tested it myself. The last update to the CD ROM generation, the mid 2012, came with USB 3 and newer processor so I bet it won't work with Snow Leopard.

Unfortunately, no. It's simply not possible to do that because Jaguar and Panther require PowerPC processors. Only Tiger and above would work.
