I moved to Canada to work on this film. I remember when working on it, a rough cut of score came in while we were working on one of the most climactic sequences. All of the films crew, including me, were all floored by the melody and proceeded to whistle it in the studio all day while putting the finishing touches on the film. I work in vfx/post production. My team won the academy award for best vfx that year. The film has heart, and it was a highlight of my career. I’m learning piano now and was so happy to find this. Determined to learn in and master it.

I was just watching the movie when I heard this (around 1:10 mark in the movie), and immediately had to jump to my keys to see if I can find it. Had to quickly check the internet to see how close I was.. I'd say about 95%. Got the chords right anyway, the rest is in the details. Now I won't stop practicing until I can do this 100% correctly. Such a lovely melody and it's basically just 3 chords.. I'm a self tought amateur don't be harsh if I am wrong.

David Kotok has a version that is complex and bombastic but I like this one a lot its so precious, I learned the right hand today, now I am off to the left hand part which thankfully is much simpler, thank you for making this arrangement!
