Why do they have guided bus lanes? Does not seem to make much sense. If you have a smart tv, cast this video too your tv, then use your tv remote control too zap through the ads.

Money! The whole point of this venture was not to provide faster transport for the area, it was to get money from the sale of land for the council, even the report by the surveyor stated that a dedicated bus route was the slowest and most costly option to implement. They hid the public consultations from the public until it was too late and the deals had already been struck, even going so far as to threaten the employees of the venues where the meetings were held with losing their jobs if they told anybody that there was a meeting about the buslane. It's caused so much congestion on the roads, with no increase in bus passengers numbers, it actually saw a drop in passengers and the buses remain mostly empty apart from the usual rush-hour of course!

A waste of cash really, all for an average of 3mins gain, their own report stated that the best course of action would have been to reinstate the old railway, but just like the original closure of the railway, the personal kickbacks outweighed providing the best and cheapest to construct and maintain transport option!
