First Marketing Materials Are In! Brandon Update - Yard Signs, Postcards, Business Cards, Hoodies

The first round of my friend Brandon's marketing materials are finally in! This was a quick update on his new lawn care postcards, invoices, business cards, and yard signs.
For some of you guys who have been following me and Brandon, you know this is his first year in business for himself, doing landscaping. He's going all in, and these are some of his first round marketing materials for his new business.
We jumped in the truck today to head to the local print shop I use, and pick up his lawn signs, while I tried on a polo for shirts I'm going to be ordering.

Exciting stuff. Have Brandon look into every door direct mailers. He can look at neighborhoods through the usps website and find lots of great data like average income, number of houses and businesses in a neighborhood , ages etc. it also lets you know the cost to hit all of the houses. We had pretty good success with it last year. The neighborhood in my town with the highest average income was not the one I expected and really helped us direct our focus.

I hope to hear back from you guys as this video is a year old. I have been trying to figure out how to get invoices done for my new lawncare business. How did Brandon design his. I watch closely and saw that it was not a generic form. I actually had his business name in the disclosure part under the quote area. I don't want to be generic. Did he go to a site or did he sit down with the person doing the ordering and discuss his disclaimers and what it should say to the customer about the quote? Please let me know so I can get started on this as we only have a few more months and then it is open season on lawncare. Thanks guys and as always, enjoyed watching your video.

JordansTutorials Popular street corners fri after 5pm. Pick them up Sunday at 10pm. But, also on clients lawns for a week at a time and I shuttle them around.

Brian, I love this...I have to step up my game on marketing and have been on the fence to purchase a Cameo Silhouette to make some of my own graphics as well as an embroidery machine for some apparel. I just realized you (well Liz) have the Cameo. Do you utilize that for any of your graphics such as vehicle lettering or heat press apparel? I'll accept any royalties from the new Lucky Lemon Graphics Co. if this turns into a niche for Liz.

V Brinkley Nah we don’t utilize her machine for anything for me, although we could. We do custom heat press for fun stuff, shirts, mugs, wine glasses etc, but usually those are personal or gift items. My print shops make all my stuff and apply it as well. Whatever works!

At the risk of sounding dumb lol what does licensed mean in Michigan. Is that different than being a LLC or is it licensed for fertilizer and stuff?

It’s more marketing than practical. Folks just expect to hear licensed and insured for trader businesses. 9 years ago I ran with it, just kept with it ha. Some places tho you do need to be licensed!
