She never slept. When they got home that evening they gave Burke a bowl of pineapple as a bedtime snack. JB snuck some of Burkes pineapple and he caught her and cracked her in the head with a flashlight. Parents heard the scream and came to see what happened. This is when they decide to cover up what happened, they knew JB was dying. Burke was banished to his room while mom and dad staged a crime scene.

You pack the night before, correct? Have you ever imagined getting up the day of and stuffing clothes into a garbage bag to travel by plane? No one does that, and certainly not someone as image-conscious as Patsy Ramsay? Was she going to show up with a garbage bag full of clothes like a homeless person? No. If she expected to travel, she would have packed her suitcase the night before, and she certainly wouldn't have put on makeup over old makeup and put on yesterday's clothing that she wore to a party. Despite having to make an early flight, she didn't set an alarm. Her version of events just explains why she wasn't packed and why she took the back staircase, where she finds the note before awakening Burke and how Burke manages to remain asleep throughout this entire scenario.

Who would wake up find that their young child has been kidnapped, call the police, then at some point say, hey we've got a plane to catch, if you find out anything give us a call?! There's nothing remotely normal about that. I've decided I'm going to kidnap a child, I break into the home, grab the kid then have to hunt for pen and paper to write a ransom note on. I find pen and paper but I mess the note up so I wad that paper up and toss it in the garbage and start a new note over. I'm doing all this while the parents are in the home. Yeah ok, makes complete sense.

Me three! I came to leave this same comment. At those ages, I would have packed my kids the night before and literally woken them the last 5 mins before we had to leave. Also, it’s “normal” for some ppl (myself included) to predict what/why/who/how something is where it is or who left it there. My immediate thought would be, “Who would leave me a letter? Must be so-and-so.” What is NOT normal (in my opinion) is a mom not checking all rooms calling/screaming your child’s name. My brain rejects the thought of something horrible having happened, my brain WANTS my child to be somewhere close by, just needing to be found.

Nah they were hauling that child all over the place. Dance lessons, singing, acting, piano lessons, they even mention rock climbing at one point. You can tell from videos that jonbenet was trained and forced into all this pageant stuff. She doesn’t really come across as a “spark plug” or exhibit a natural stage presence such as a young judy garland. Seems like by the time the murder took place jonbenet was already showing some true rebellion towards patsy for all this nonsense.

I am certainly not defending them but when you have a second home, some people even have the same with a permanent travel trailer/campsite, you often have clothing there, another set of make-up, another set of dishes, more hair brushes, toothbrushes, etc. In other words, a total set-up and an entirely furnished home, just like at home. I have done that with the camping thing. If you go often enough, you even have food stocked in the freezer, cupboards, frig. You may want to grab some fresh veggies or milk but you can go at the drop of a hat with basically nothing, there is much for food and drink you can keep stocked that does not expire. Also I think I only realized recently this trip was only supposed to be about three days, if that? Returning on the 29th I believe. Or do I have that wrong? I personally wondered why bother with such a short trip... However, in that day and age, before 9/11 and with your own plane, you are not wasting most of two days in airports and traveling so it probably was worth it... He also could likely fly into a small airport close to their destination, no need for a shuttle, or large metro airport--perhaps get a rental car, etc... I wonder if they had another vehicle there... Since they did the Mackinac Chicago sailing thing, clearly the boats are stored there somewhere and he is from Michigan. As far as the garbage bag, it seems odd with their bent for appearances but again, who is likely to know or see it? It isn't like they had reporters looking for pictures of them in those days and they weren't celebrities. Again, taking off from probably a smallish air strip or airport, maybe even in the 90s they could drive right up to their plane... Just laundry to launder at another home of theirs that probably has a washer and dryer as well. I sure would not stuff dirty laundry into luggage. Guessing she may have grabbed three outfits or so for the kids they had worn in the last busy few days just in case things left there did not fit as kids grow so fast. All of that said though, I don't believe the Ramseys so the account of that morning or day is questionable to me as far as what if anything is truthful. In their case, it could be that Patsy (or both) are being careful not to place herself/themselves in the basement and so no suitcases which is perhaps where they are kept...
@Sookielein

Barely into this and I already disagree on two assumptions. 1. We always get ready first and then wake the kids and get them ready. Seems like different people do things in different ways. Likely depends on whether or not your kids will get themselves ready or if you have to be active in making them ready. 2. My wife is very meticulous about appearance and has an immense wardrobe. But she can wear the same clothes from the previous day. This is because of another assumption. Many people wear a new set of clothes for each day, so if you are wearing the ones from yesterday, then you're wearing them for a 2nd day. Not the case, though. My wife will change her clothes as many times as she wants in a day, depending on outing. So a clothing item that was worn for just 2 hours the previous day is fair game for today.
@jaustill237
@jaustill237 3 жыл бұрын
Got a bit farther, and it makes even more sense to me, that is: this video actually makes me think that Patsy might be innocent: 3. She didn't take a shower that morning. If she had involvement in the death, she would want to get clean. This also makes sense on why she wore the same clothes. Realizing that everyone is different, when I take a flight, I always want a shower afterwards. You do a lot of hiking around the airport and carrying bags etc. She didn't get done up before going on the plane because she was going to afterward. And there is zero chance of seeing anyone from last night's party at the airport or in Michigan. 4. That's exactly how I think Patsy would pack the bags. Grab up what was needed and toss them in trash bags, checks out. But you jumped to the wrong conclusion saying she would carry those bags through the airport. It sounds ridiculous because it is ridiculous. She would toss those trash bags into very expensive luggage. This is exactly how Patsy is. She is done up on the outside, in reality, she is a mess, but she looks done up. It's all surface level. So yeah, I can see Patsy walking through the airport, in need of a shower, in last night's clothes, with luggage full of garbage bags.

Per Patsy's version of events: If the three pages of the ransom note are laid side by side on one of the steps of the staircase, and Patsy was the first to go downstairs, then isn't it obvious that she must have stepped on them? I'm sure that she didn't jump over that step. She must have looked down and picked up the note, so why aren't there any of her fingerprints on the note? Why didn't she read the entire note? Any parent who came downstairs and saw a note like that would have turned on EVERY light in the house, would have gone to the brother's room and woke him up immediately, would have woken up her husband and made a huge scene. None of Patsy's story makes any sense at all.

I still need to read this rendition of events - listening today I find it odd that it must be a bit before 6 a.m. when Patsy sees the note which she thinks might be from the housekeeper - 3 pages of paper places side by side on a lower stair rung - and another ask for money. So is she saying the housekeeper came into the house really early on the 26th and left a note? (And 3 pages) to remind Patsy of her request? ….and presumably then left again? That to me just does not make any sense. I thought the point well made also about Patsy not calling out JonBenet’s name, checking the bathroom and also since JB was said to at times sleep in the extra bed in Burkes room - didn’t at that time quickly run to see if she was there……

It was just after Christmas. You know kids needed extra sleep. Kids would be woken up just before leaving. They had big day planned so they wanted kids to get as much sleep as kids could get sleep. She Put on same outfit on to get ready. It is possible. It was just worn to party for few hours. She was tired from Christmas. She had a lot to do so she decided to put on clothes and get things done. She was rushing. The questioned was why was she going down stairs? To get laundry to finish packing. Well It was a private plane. I have taken clothes in bags so they dont get mixed. This makes sense to me. Kidnappers left note on stairs because they rushed out of JonBenet bedroom with her and they wanted to get down stairs as quick as possible. They wouldn't go up stairs again. They DON'T want to get caught up there or possibly wake someone up.

I have wondered for a long time if melatonin could have somehow played a role. John said that he took melatonin that night, to be well rested for the next day. The ransom note also instructed John to be well rested. Could it be possible that they gave her too much, and she stopped breathing? And then they panicked when they couldn’t wake her. Or, what if she was being SA and the person doing it used Melatonin to sedate her beforehand, and she stopped breathing during the assault? Melatonin has been linked to a few children’s deaths and it can also lead to bed wetting. Just something I have thought about and I never really heard anyone discuss.

I can actually understand Patsy putting the laundry into garbage bags. I do the same when I go somewhere in a hurry and have the means to do the laundry when I get there. However, I pack the garbage bag full of dirty laundry into a travel bag! The garbage bag just stops the dirty laundry from contaminating an clean clothes I'm taking. So it is plausible. ;))

I don’t think they’re innocent. But, like you said, going into an investigation with a bias changes the trajectory. It seems careless to suggest it would be abnormal for Patsy not to shower before sunrise, then do her hair and make-up for the next 1-2 hours. People who shower daily think everyone needs to. But many women shower less frequently than men, because it takes 2-5 times longer to manage a woman’s hairstyle. Garbage bags: It’s misleading when you ask us to think whether we have flown like that because you know it was a PRIVATE PLANE with people they knew piloting it - something they routinely did. They didn’t do everything like others - following social norms….these are people who had private planes, could be untidy after a holiday because they had a housekeeper, people who got their own way more than most, so could also choose their comfort instead of the social norms of others - like taking clothing in a garbage bag to be washed at the other home. No sweat. Thats what being Privileged is: they Could dress their daughter like a showgirl if they wanted, and they could have a Christmas tree in every room if they felt like it.

The more I watch videos about this case the more I believe it was a premeditated murder. I believe that the ransom note was written even before. Because no one can put that much effort to write a three page note after the act like that. I believe the person who did it thought about it for days and planned it very carefully. There was no accident. I believe Burke and John are innocent and the person who did it got them to believe there was an intruder. I don’t think anyone in the family ever suspected the person who did it.
