thank you for this. i did this trip myself but only until Nepal and India in the 1980s, would have loved to have seen more scenery. good narration. my dad was in the Army so it was interesting to see the Malayasian welcome. also other videos on youtube THE ROAD TO KATMANDU or THE HIPPY TRAIL. thanks

15 miles to the Gallon all the way to Singapore {bloody marvellous).PS. I learnt to drive in one of them and passed my test with it in the Army.

Would love to do a trip like this. I'm having my Series 2a restored and prepped for expedition. Quite like the idea of doing the London - Sydney Marathon, taking about 6 months to d the trip.

The both got back to the UK,,,years later one was sold off and cut up..the other went down a ravine on an expedition through Turkey

i`m sure it was a great adventure, but didnt seem like there was much off road obstacles other than wading through knee deep water and some dusty roads.
