Thank you for sharing your story, Luke. I watched this video as part of a Mental Health Literacy Course for Educators and I believe your story reflects the story of many other students who experience mental illness, and it gave me a deeper understanding of both the non-linear nature of mental health as well as the importance of the availability of appropriate supports when students are in need. it's easy to say, oh just go to a doctor. Who's gonna pay that doctor? not everyone has access to health care assistance.

yeah I have adhd and when I was diagnosed my doctor strongly suggested meds but guess what? my dad who isn't neurodivergent just says "he'll be fine without it" and still yells at me when my grades drop below an A when we've never even tried meds and he still refuses to
