OUR FIRST HOME PROJECT IN THE PHILIPPINES IS COMPLETE!
Our wooden sliding fence is now done, and with a cool nipa roof! In this life video from the coast of Davao Oriental, I give you a little update on our beach home project. I really like the work the locals did building our fence... and well, they have also been making lots of things on our land!
A little bit of beach home stuff, some delicious local mango tapioca, and life along the coast of Davao Region here in Mindanao.

Sturdy wooden sliding gate w/nipa hut roof... nice mixture of bldg mtls old n new. Kyle ur builder is legit. U hv d septic tank, main fresh water source, a water tower w/ big storage tank (not in yet), n i suppose a solar system. Ur wonderful domain w/Kumar is self contained. With d trees (ornamental n fruit bearing) n beds of vegetables makes d whole place sustainable... congrats 😀😀😀...

Build a pavilion type of home, glass encased then just connect with nipahuts surrounding the pavilion. Let it open up towards the beach with an eternity pool, so when you sit in your pavilion lounge, your pool looks like an extended sea.

Suggestion collect rain water to be use for toilets, watering plants. Then you could conserve your well water. With so much sunlight use it to generate power to be use in your house, use led bulbs to save electricity. You can use wind power to generate power too.

Great progress, fantastic location though I see constructions there can never completely avoid some PI compromises ie: the street light blocking 1/3rd of your gate entrance. The Mango Tapioca looks fantastic and very rich in ingredients - cannot possibly taste anything but great.

The salty environment of the coast is normally very corrosive to metals and makes them corrode alot faster. The metal railings for the gate need to be painted/protected and moving parts need to be greased regularly to keep the movement smooth (also help prevent corrosion) That is a big heavy gate to push when corrosion and friction starts to play out in few months 😉. I hope the lamp post at the entrance of the gate is temporary though 😁. Looking forward for the whole project to get completed. Power on brad Kulas 💪👍

Suggestion.....underneath the tank you can use as shower n the toilet has its own room (when someone want to use it privately). High ceiling with no walls in the living n dining room is cozy. Kitchen is not separated from the house floor plan. If kuya Mike could do some carpentry hired by you to do recycle woods found in beaches. The house foundation must be strong enough to resist strong wind and thus a unique nipa for the bedrooms wall. ...........
