Just came to listen to your story, born and bred in Cumbernauld, but sad to say I was totally oblivious to your story. As back in 2013 I was in the midst of heavy addiction. But had heard about you through the Jim King show. But how I ended up here really seems like I was meant to. 28 years on methadone and was absolutely terrified of coming off it. But 11 days ago I saw you and your lovely family in Asda. That was my last day at the chemist for suboxone. Just nodded and smiled at you, as family time is family time and there is a time and place. But seeing you sent me a message m8 and it really hit home. Listening to what you have conquered has given me hope. So I just came on to say thank you and that you are inspiring people without even knowing it. Im 50 this year and thought I had nothing to offer, but your story made me realise there is still a lot I can offer. So thank you and I will let you know where my story goes.

Hello div son ...wanted to send a message after watching your interview there whilst waiting on dinner cooking ..a great podcast div...you have your talent go forward in life and do a media course turn your podcasting into a career when you leave the big hoose...it was also refreshing to hear a guest say they would like to do more to highlight what happens after jail ...here is a wee suggestion for you div..why dont you get a good auld glesga mammie on the show because if its honesty the boys need to hear ...mammies can give the side of the story of how it felt when the polis came to the door yer wean lifted again ...court appearance again money in pp again ..heartbroken again...or when your wean came from a scheme hat chunned tae the moon wearing the best of the best.back in the day dressed in the same trackie all youes young boys wore and the polis just veiwed youes as a gang ...the gossips..when your ma and da were decent hard working people..to put the latest bergaus north face nike .,air max .,stone island etc etc on their backs and play stations x box's every game under the sun..somebodys hoose door off its hinges..another 6am door knock warrent...were i came from son i know these weans i never judged them i was always the ma that made sure they had a bit of food if they were at my house ...but i could have rung their necks at times...because they broke their maw's heart...so maybe telling that side of the story on yer pod cast might be a wee light bulb moment for some..need to go now son i am burning the bloody dinner😊

What is the difference between Barlinnie and Carstairs? The SPS control both of them and warders transfer between them for promotion etc. Two 'madmen' escaped from Carstairs but when they got caught after killing a warder a convict and a policman the two escapees were found to be sane and fit to plead! What? Only in Scotland!

Barlinnie is an actual okay jail, done ma last sentence in 2017 after been in and out a prison most ma life. More chilled out than polmont thats for sure. A stuck to the gym and work party and the routine sorted ma head out. When a got out a got a job up north and now staying in Argyll. A grew up in Castlemilk and cant see myself ever going back there onwards and upwards. Good podcast enjoyed that lads take care.

Never had a sentence in bar but took there few times back in early 90s before longgrigend then a sentence in polmont,a had few mates that's done good few year in bar and they say the same pal,first time in obviously yer a bit weary,will never forget they fuckin dug boxes and that mystery bowl 😂😂, polmont was fuckin wild,everycunt wants to be the tap man,its fuckin carnage in there😂

Don't know if that would work as well visually but you could maybe hide it behind stuff or something. Anyway just an idea, as I say the podcast was brilliant either way.
