FIRST PULL ATTEMPTS in my 800+WHP Procharged Camaro

This video was meant to be a POV drive as well as sound of a Procharged Camaro but ended up cutting all of that down to 2 min of that. Pulls are towards the end of the video, I have yet made a pull in my car in over a year since I started this build. I wanted to see how it would act with the stock street tires, nonetheless will be making another video showing the difference of my drag setup (ET Street R).

One advantage of the Procharger is it builds boost when the rpm starts to climb up. So you get better traction. I tried whipple and magnusion 2650r and the low mid range torque was uncontrollable, the car needed 335s in the back and stock 305s on the 1le was not enough

Hey man, sorry if you've answered this in another video, but did you build up the bottom end to handle all of that power? From what I read, going over 600 RWHP in the 6th gen is asking for potential problems. I'm currently stock (SS A8 with 1LE suspension and lowering spring kit from GM) looking to build a track beast while keeping my A8. I'm thinking of going with a procharger since I don't need the out of the hole torque on the track, but I'm worried about the integrity of the bottom end and cooling issues as well. Any advice??

No worries, so I did do drop in pistons and rods on the car, I have a few videos of the entire build / install of all of the parts I put in. I went with a setup that could hold up to 1500hp, only thing I didn’t change is the crank because it can hold 1100ish safely and to be honest if I changed the crank I would of just done a 416 stroker but I just wanted to max out this engine and then build a whole different one for insane power down the road. Power wise you can easily just procharge your car as is and it will hold up fine it’s when you do what I have done is when you’ll need forged internals. although my experience sucked with RPMs meth kit I got I still love the work they do, they built a cammed Camaro that makes 600whp and 520 torque, I’d go that route if your wanting a badass cam setup. You would get more for your money though just simply bolting on a procharger with no other bolt ons and make around the same power, cost me around 10k for the full bolt ons with heads and cam and I was around 550ish where a procharger will give you more for like 5-6k

You can program your v-1 to only see certain bands. I have mine set to only see laser and ka. So when it does go off it’s almost always a cop. K band is just annoying stores and what not giving a false. Anyways I think you would enjoy it a lot more that constantly going off for nothing

Yeah I’ll be posting up some more, I got busy with work and Corona virus stuff and honestly I haven’t or don’t even drive my car a ton, I just don’t really need to at the end of the day. However another thing is cops cracking down on all the racing and such, my way forward is I’ll do some coordinated races without the crowds but for most part I have a ton of parts I need to install on my car so I’ll make some series of that to track that and then I’m registering to run at the texas miles, I’ll be out in Abilene in October running the car, grabbing a 4 point roll cage and safety items so I can do that as well as turning up the boost. Once that is done I plan on doing a whole new engine build, try and run 1300-1400whp.

Stock crank, I have forged rods and pistons. Running LT4 HPFP and injectors with stock in tank fuel pump. Which is same as LT4 when you have a 1LE SS. I’m running 13 pounds of boost at 800hp,

I love a manual car for street racing or pulls out there. Just feels good. I’d get an auto for a dedicated race car if I was trying to be face or have quick times. The tires are the stock ones. I have 10k miles on them so they are about done but yeah on my radials it’s a totally different car. I’ve also been seeing where now used cars are selling for a crazy good amount
