David, I was at the New England 900 with my wife and son we had a blast. Glad to hear it sounds like Cleetus and the crew are coming back next year! Can’t say enough nice things about Stafford Speedway and how it’s run, we will be back next year for sure. I would be glad to volunteer my time just to be around the speedway. I’m a veteran and would love the opportunity to learn more about racing at Stafford

Hi David , I enjoyed your video . I miss racing . Judging by the movement of the steering wheel you had your hands full ! From that and your comments might I recommend softening up the rear suspension a smidge to get a better bite on restarts . As far as cornering goes by softening up the rear and running more rear brake will do two things for you : 1.) More rear brake will hold the back of the car down going in preventing the front suspension from overloading and giving you that push . 2.) Holding down the rear suspension entering also means less transition time for weight to transfer to the rear wheels exiting giving you better bite. Could be a rear shock problem needing less bump . But the brakes I am sure about . Moving more brake to the rear to hold the back down requires more rear brake as your brakes heat up . Remember the rear brakes are not out there in the cooler air like the front . Do not put more rear brake in like you did to the front in this video ! 1 turn at a time for 2 laps , repeat . By for now from the Philippines, "Poop Shoot"😊

my cousin and his son used to run the Lucas Oil Modifieds which are kinda like yours but on a 8" tire and stock spindles. i couldnt afford to run one so i became the series photographer, haha. i sure do like the looks of the Whelen series cars though.

@@DavidAruteRacing the open modified is just about getting more experience. But as far as your sk you’ve been really fast last season you know as well as anyone a little bit of good luck goes a long way.

Maybe your transmission gearing needs tweaked some if you’re spinning wheel. You have alot more hp than me though. Not sure if you’re still spinning in high gear too.

That’s what I was thinking as well. Sometimes it would also happens when transferring from corner or the strait away.
