The new map is nice for new players, but i feel like it has to many PMCs per raid. And with everyone doing same quests, spawning very close to hot locations, it is 100% gonna be a shootout. Had 8 people in terragroup building alone one raid. If this was truly for new people to run around, loot, learn, etc, feel like number of PMCs should be 4 or 5 or smth like that. Will need some protection against full party spawn to be only players on the map though, but still.

Since it's a map for low-level players only, maybe they could make it be solo PMCs as well? That way they can have the low playercount without it messing with the balance too much.

This might be because I havent really been keeping up to date with Tarkov the past few months (at least not with streams), but I feel like they almost stealth dropped Ground Zero. If you remember Streets was months, YEARS of hype and anticipation, but I haven't seen anyone really talk about Ground Zero. It just came with the update, nothing really more.

Nah some mainstream Tarkov News people talked about it. Noiceguy for example talked about this map a month or so back. It was thought to be an extension to streets and not it's own map.

The additions in this patch are welcome. I think it will take a while for BSG to iron out the armor system. The more moving parts they introduce, the more they seem to struggle to keep things viable and balanced. Interested to see how the spaghetti net code has improved or the sound. Both reasons I skipped the last 2 wipes.

My experience in this map is dying first 2 minutes to 3-4 man sqauds half of the time and another 40% dying to people camping, mostly extracts and quest locations. I cannot see how beginners are supposed to learn the game if the die at 0:40. Skill issue? Maybe, but this is map is supposed to teach players how to play. Right now if they don't get filtered right away, they will learn that only squad play is viable and PVP is a death sentence (so they won't seek fights and learn from them, and no, killed by a 4stack at your spawn is not a good learning experience).

the new map is brutal at first because the spawn points are so close to each other. the best strategy i found is to wait in spawn and let them come to you

Had same spawn as deadly about 6x now. 4x ive spawned within 20 meters of a 2-3 man down there. Other time it was a solo and we battled it out. I've only spawned once down there alone. So watch for that if you havent really gotten into it yet. Spawns need some work haha.

14:54 This is a good place to demonstrate it, but navigating when you have loot obesity wouldn't be such a problem if we could not only just drop our backpacks, but hold them in our PMC's hands and drag/carry them or throw them over small obstacles. Let us do that with items too. Fuck it, let us take the fuel cans and car batteries out of our butt and throw them out a window onto an enemy scav/PMC and give him a concussion.

I was yelling at my screen most of this video. FYI, there is a body at Mira extract right by the sign leaning on the vehicle with the crosshairs that seems to be 100% spawn for a green flare.

New map is pretty brutal, i like it but the spawns are horrible, i have about 400 hours in game so pretty new, gotta say i love you can see profile of ppl that kill you it puts alot into perspective as i have died to players above my hours and all the kills are players below lol

yep same here, i started doing the other maps, since this map will be overcrowded, ive been watchin 4 other streamers, playing eft and on ground zero, HARDLY any people when they play, seems very odd

No one can tell me they aren’t either server hopping to the lamest servers or bsg has servers set up for them catered to them in some way to make the streams better and make the game look better.

Sadly while I like this map it shows poor design decisions. This is where all new players coming to tarkov will start out. The map is very small and dense with players, many of who have several years of experience. Right now my progression is completely halted for Skier and Mechanic since I can't complete their quests after 5-6 tries. The car is ALWAYS taken within the first few minutes of every session start. As someone else commented this appears to be a way for the chads to eliminate one exit to funnel other player to an ambush. I also got to the dead scientist once only to find the key already taken. Like you I assumed the door would be open, but it was not. I was unable to get to the hard drive, the taxi was already gone so a waste of a trip. One tip on that though that I discovered later you can go into the other office, climb on one of the desks and walk on the ledge to enter the other room by the window. Risky but it works. I love tarkov but this is going to drive new players away.

I’m happy they opened it up to higher level players. Fun map, too many pmcs, but will be a great late wipe battle ground. Also I went to a $50 IEM for a headset and wow am I surprised. It is replacing my $200 wireless headset. It takes some setting up with the steel series sonar, but it has better positional and clear audio then my headshot ever has.
