I absolutely love French The Kid - it excites me when I hear rappers who are intelligent & articulate and who bring something fresh - and everything about him is Fresh! Was great to witness & share the same excitement with you. His reference to being part Irish is he is from (I believe) the Irish Traveller community, ie traveling Gypsies. And yeah you're right, he'd be perfect at Thomas Shelby's son - has that ruthless cool edge but you can tell there's a sensitive deep person inside

On the engaged in a gun line it's kind of clever really. Theirs a story of a soldier once cutting off a ring of his barrell to give to his fiance as a ring so the engagement line brought that to mind plus also some guns have like c-rings ..d rings also can even cause ringing of the ear so many connections that could fall on that line he had.
