Fun fact about the tattoo you noticed: Jackson was a sabre fencer for Hong Kong's fencing team when he was younger! He was ranked eleventh in the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics, and won first place at the Asian Junior and Cadet Fencing Championships in 2011. He's always said that fencing is a big part of his life and something he's very passionate about, hence the tattoo.

jackson's story is really different from many kpop artists, he competed as a fencer in the national chinese team and even went to the 2010 olympics, that's why he has that tattoo. then decided to leave it all and persue his passion in music in korea

He gets really creative with his most recent sets and his mirrors albums songs. As a producer, hearing someone say that producing a music video on location versus in studio is cheaper made me scream, hahaha. It sometimes is WAY more expensive because there's so much more variables to consider. Not to mention closing down a street is EXPENSIVE AND ANNOYING PLANNING WISE. You have to also consider equipment rentals, transportation, insurance for weather, generators to power your eq, prep stations, etc. Etc. Whereas in studio everything is contained and often have rental houses and eq attached.

Yeah, Jackson’s husky voice is definitely a unique thing in the world of k-pop. The rest of Got7 always take the mickey out of him for it. His earlier solo stuff I found pretty generic, but more recently 100 Wats and Bullet to the Heart have been amazing. The sound and the visuals work do well together - two of my favourite songs from the last year or so.

Ahh I love all your reactions but this is the one I was happiest about seeing in my sub box!!💓 Thank you so much for reacting to Jackson. Also if you'd like to see partner work I'd definitely recommend you to react to 100 ways because there he and the actress have some parts dancing together. Also bullet to heart is him dancing along with an actress as well!! The sign for the Olympics he has tattooed because Jackson used to be a fencer for the Hongkong Team and took part in the youth Olympics! He had a successful promising career as professional fencer in front of him, league college scholarship and all, when he realised he wanted to pursue music and gave up everything to become a singer. Honestly most inspiring story I know. Anyways I just love Jackson and his solo work so much. He's just amazing, just like with this one he's always immensely involved in his music videos and gives most of the concept ideas - which is even more mind-blowing considering how creative his music videos are. Every single of his videos is different and unique and they just get better every time. His songs too. He perfectly combines his great songs with amazing creative and story telling music videos, with great choreography that is very creative and story telling as well! I really don't know any other artists like him. He's so hard working and passionate. I loved seeing your thoughts on this. I know you have a lot of artists to react to but I can only say that checking out his videos is definitely worth it. I really recommend 100 ways, DWAY, bullet to the heart and titantic so much. They're all so good and satisfying. Ah I'm just glad Jackson exists. I can't wait for his second album which includes 17 songs and will drop sometime during the next few months.

Jackson is all kinds of “unique.” His fiery personality hidden under calm/cool, stoic exterior is a bit scary cuz I also own it. Once it starts rolling on something it doesn’t understand any such thing as hunger, tired, or injury. It just knows “MUST...ACCOMPLISH......THING!!!!!” until it’s body drops. I once got up in the morning & suddenly couldn't stand on my foot...went to doctor just to find out I had a broken ankle....... for a month!!! I can see this in Jackson sometimes.

Jeff, Jackson's solo music is for an international audience so it's not a Kpop kinda sound tho he sings, raps, dances in his music. If you delve deeper into GOT7, these 7 boys have different tones/styles in their musicality. GOT7 has more westernize kinds of songs. If you have time, you can check out Jaebeom, Youngjae, and Yugyeom's SoundCloud, so you'll know what I mean. These boys are producers, composers, lyricists, and even contributors to their choreos.

Jackson's music is always so good. A lot of his recent releases are all in English but he also has several songs in Chinese. I highly recommend 100 Way and Bullet to the Heart. All of his songs have a tendency to feel too short (at least to me) so i end up listening to them over and over again because i cant get enough
