Oh Didy, if you like the trombone, you will love the next one on Rusty's list. It's Cry Me A River at this concert & the trombonist does a beautiful solo, but this version is not only the best of Angelina's several versions of this song, but it's the best version ever by anyone, IMO. It's a Master Class in smooth jazz singing by an 11 yo jazz queen. I can't wait for that one, it's one of her best works of art.

I agree with all of you guys. In addition, a great accompanying video for this beautiful performance (“Cry Me a River”), is her “practice” version of the same song. What it lacks in beauty, it makes up for in revealing a humorous side of Angelina. Didy, as others have said (and as I also commented in Norwegian in the last reaction), this concert is legendary. There is something special about Angelina and Prøysenhuset. We owe so much to Boris for being there and preserving these golden moments from 3 concerts that has taken place there. And the next song will absolutely go into your top 3 list if you either slightly like Jazz or trombone........

Angelina was having trouble with her camiknickers during this concert. You can see the left leg has slipped down over her knee. This must have been slightly distracting for her. By the way, as you move forward in your timeline, please don't forget to listen to Song For A, a song specially written for her by Russian composer Nico Cartosio and with words by the 18th century Scottish poet Robbie Burns. It is mind-blowing!

In this interview she reads from her diary which was written at age 6 after meeting the shoeless street girl weighing people. So... I stepped away from your entire reaction so that I could make the above comment... and now I’m back. I really like your style and point of view. It’s very interesting. I also wanted to return to leave you with a suggestion. Since you love Bond songs (I do to), you should go and view the introduction / interview to her song “Shield”. It is a separate video, but you can search for it by adding “interview” to the search box. I think you’ll recognize the show, and Angelina is sitting down, but wearing the same outfit that she has on when she sings “Shield”. I think you’ll like it because she gives the show’s hosts a taste of “Diamonds are Forever”... a’capella. It is brief, but stunning. Don’t react to it... watch it for your own enjoyment. 😉👍

Yep, she does "the flip" in this one too. She does it in "Summertime" on "your daddy's rich" and also near the end of "Easy on Me" on "fee-ee-el the world around me" I made up a musical term for it, "diminished minor seventh" or something but I don't really know what it's called. On the James Bond topic, you are about to come to her performance on this stage of "Cry Me a River". The version she does here is silky-smooth jazz, but watch for her other performance of it with the military band, equally fantastic but totally different feel, it would make a perfect Bond theme. You must do both!

There is no series of notes, it is just when the melody calls for an E Major the singer sings the phrase in an E-Minor 7th instead, or something like that.. unless maybe you're right and Didy is talking about that.

One other reactor refered to Angelinas last sequence of "I Put A Spell On You" (do you remember that? 😅 ) as "- a great Liza Minelli moment" for Angelina. I did get what she ment, but this performance realy make her stand strong in that comparison, I think. it's funny .. you're not the first person who said Shield reminds you of a Bond song. The reason I don't get that at all is that I hear Shield as a prayer. The words are a prayer .. prayer is allowed to have fire! I adore that song and hope nobody uses it for a Bond movie. 😊 Speaking of Bond ... I think she did great here but if she sang it now it would get her the job. Her voice has matured beautifully. Have you heard The Hate Game (is that the name? ) .. I think that's a brilliant song. I see several others have suggested you react to "Lovin' You" from this same concert. There are several versions. The original by Boris Palenovski, without whom many of these early concerts would have be lost to all humanity (Thanks Boris!) includes 2:30 worth of the band warming up the audience. The sound is as good as he could get without patching into the sound board, but relied on the acoustics at the seat he had for the concert. You shouldn't miss the other songs she did at this concert. Perhaps no need to do reaction videos to all of them, and perhaps that's why Rusty skipped some in the playlist. I recommend you go back and listen to the full concert, start to finish without any interruptions or disturbances, once you've moved on to other stuff in you series of reactions. _p.s. Forgot to mention, if you watch the excerpt from "Tangerudbakken" on Angelina's channel you'll be able to catch a glimpse of Boris whom we have to thank for recording this concert and making available to us. Early in the video we can see him from behind sitting on a bench talking to Angelina's grandma, and later, when Angelina sings wit Hege-Anette, we see him in the audience, sitting down with his camcorder ready.
