Thank you for reacting to BoA! ^^ She debuted in 2000 at the age of 13. SM scouts saw her dancing in the mall and scouted her in 1998. She made SM what it is today (most people keep forgetting that). She was the original prototype of what an idol should be. And she was the first Korean superstar - first Korean act to break into Japanese market and having 6 consecutive number 1 albums and selling millions and millions of albums in Japan. And 23 years later (after debut) she is still going strong. She has made 10 full Korean albums, 10 full Japanese albums and 1 English album (not including mini albums, EPs, singles etc.) In her 23 year old career she has tired many different sounds - although her title songs are mostly dance songs (except maybe a couple of them) her discography is full with other music influnces (hip hop, rock, jazz, bosanova, edm and many more). Her Japanese discography is musically a little bit different than her Korean one. Interesting fact: She wrote and composed ''Only one''. The song achieved all kill on the charts the moment it was released. It was a huge huge hit. It beat all the songs that were released in 2012 except one - Gangnam style. ''Only one'' was in Korea so huge that it riveled ''Gangnam style''. Recommendations: Korean: Number 1 (2002; the song that made her a superstar in Korea and the song that has been chosen as the best Kpop songs of all time); Atlantis Princess (2003), My name (2005), Girls on Top (2005), Copy and paste (2010), Kiss my lips (2015), Camo (2018; this MV is rumored to be connected to her appearance as AESPA's new villain), Forgive me (2023; calling out the haters). I feel like BoA's jpop discog is superior than her kpop one, if you guys ever decide to dive into that as well since her singing style,dancing,music has changed a lot to what she does now. A few recommendations(JP versions): Amazing Kiss - 2001 (age 14) Double - 2003 (age 17) Do the motion - 2005 (age 19) Eien/永遠 - 2009 (age 23) Few Ballads worth mentioning for her belts: Love Letter Winter Love
