Not many people have a talent like perfect pitch like I do have but… Frank tedesco has something called “relative pitch” this means that when he hears a song he hasn’t heard in a while or never heard it before he does multiple things in his head but the most common thing he does that we can see is that he lays his right or left hand on the keyboard and while the song he is listening to he will play one or two notes however we cannot hear it until he uses some of his control equipment to directly feed the audio into both Omegle and his video capture equipment. The main thing is that Frank tedesco does this hand trick to figure out what key the song is in. That’s all. The rest of it is all about what some people call “training a muscle in your ear” and this is solely down to how you learn. From my perspective I don’t have relative pitch as I don’t know what the note names are. However, I have perfect pitch and this is where I clears a song to play just from hearing the most common four chords or if it is singular notation I go off of the frequency. Not everyone has this ability but… Everyone who has the thought or dream to have perfect pitch but is learning piano or guitar late you can still get good at it but it will require learning the theory of relative pitch and learning the basics of playing the instruments you want to play. This is harder. However, doable and if you put effort into it, and don’t give up at it, no matter how young or how old you are you’ll still be able to achieve things that you wouldn’t have thought was even possible. Even with the right tools, the right mindset and the motivation to do it you could really do well and one day you’ll be either shredding on that guitar or playing like a pro on a grand piano. Satisfaction comes when you feel that you’re making solid progress. There will always be a time where you feel like you are struggling but here’s my tip You can always find good resources and people online that can give you really good advice and ways to improve your skills. Because, there’s nothing worse than struggling to the point where you put that guitar or piano in the attic this is where you want help to break that barrier, get help and you’ll be right back playing again. All you need to do is research, find out your comfortable instrument to play, and go for it with a massive smile on your face!

@MrJdsenior Жыл бұрын
Nobody has PERFECT pitch. :-) That word, perfect, really doesn't mean what people think it means. Jacob Collier is the one that most impresses me. On one video, where he is doing mixing/generating a song, he said, sounds about 11 cents flat, when he checked it, it was 14 cents...THAT is near perfect pitch. Very few people on Earth can even differentiate 3 cents difference, played a few seconds apart. Also, he takes off on crazy made up scales (super hyper meta blah blah blah) and stuff out of the blue, no reference anywhere around, and when you play an instrument against it, it sounds BEAUTIFUL. And he does little tricks like modulating a song from G to G half sharp, sitting in that non key (dead in the cracks) for a bit, and transitions back to G, IN FOUR NOTES, (In the Bleak Midwinter) and virtually nobody catches it (I didn't), including trained musicians. Guys like Landes or Puth and company probably would hear it, though. Oh, and he won two Grammies, from pieces produced totally in his room, in his house, before he was something like 25, don't remember exactly. He is probably the premier musician's musician in the world right now. Oh yeah, and he plays many instruments, in at least three different families, including keyboards, percussion, strings, and I don't mean just plays them, I mean plays them at truly professional touring level. That is but the start. His improv skills are stellar, his computer skills (musical editing, etc) are top tier. The dude's brain is just wired differently than everybody else's. Oh yeah, and you can give him any interval and ask him to break it into three or four or seven equal parts, and he will just voice it, near perfectly. Check out his microtonal "Flintstones" offering, or his "Don't stop" cover. He gives master classes all over the world now, and he still hasn't hit 30, I don't think. Oh, and developed an instrument with a guy at MIT ... it just goes on and on and on. Often when people say perfect pitch, they only mean to the closest note. Collier could tune an instrument, to any base pitch you want, no reference needed (but he can't tunafish). Sorry. He also does things like beat thirty against thirty one on his chest, one with each hand, and you can hear it progress through, being opposite at the midpoint. It is just ridiculous, frankly. Cheers.
