Lzzy has a phenomenal voice. Saw them in concert - 45 minutes of 'old' acoustic rock, piano, guitar, off of their first album. Slowed down. Couple of ballads. Break for 15 minutes to bring out the electronics, and then 45 MORE minutes of solid hard rock. Helluva show. Helluva singer. And guitar player. And pianist. :D

Arejay is known for craaazzy shit live. Kicking cymbals, playing solos with massively oversized sticks etc. If I remember correctly during a break in the drums the first time I saw them, he stood on his stool and took a selfie with the crowd behind him. Dude has a blast. May I request Break In (feat Amy Lee), the version that got released a few days ago. They got together before Covid shut the world down and recorded the vocals as one track. I would also point you towards the band In This Moment, another amazing band with a badass female vocalist (Maria Brink). Pick anything off the album Black Widow .

Just to give you a little info about my friends in Halestorm: The Band has 4 members, Lzzy & Arejay Hale (brother and sister) They formed the band in 1997 when She was just 13 & her younger brother was just 10 years old and their father (Rodger Hale)Played Bass. Lzzy only Played keyboard back then she didn't start learning to play guitar until she was 16. Arejay Hale was & Still is the drummer & does backup singing, Joe Hottenger plays guitar and does back ground vocals. He joined in 2002. Josh Smith Plays Bass, keys and does the majority of the backing Vocals. Halestorm won a Grammy for this song in the Hard Rock/Metal preformance catagory . Wow! I loved this! I've seen a lot of reactions for this song (mainly because I myself was blown away by it, and wanted to see others experince it for the first time), but this one was especially good, because of the, very obvious, knowledge, and professionalism, displayed by Chase here. His comments show a great level of musical know-how, and I'm pleased to hear a reactioner that actually guides the viewer into what is actually happening in the song. Most reactions are enthuesiastic and happy, God bless them, and tells the viewer that they think its a really great song, but Chase here, tells us "WHY" its a great song. So thanks for that!

Lzzy is simply the absolute best. I would recommend her collaboration with The Picturebooks and Halestorm's newest song Back from the Dead. I have been a fan them for a few years. However, I only recently discovered some of their older songs. The one that stands out for me is called 'Takes My Life'. The best video, imo, was done in 2006 live ( I don't know how to put the KZbin video link). Very Janis Joplinish'. So good. It's kind of bizarre that people are just learning of Halestorm. They've been together for a long time. Lzzy and her brother formed the bank when she is just 14 years old. Very dedicated to the art. Another thing I love about Halestorm is all if not most of them write or contribute musically to their own songs. A lot of bands don't do that. And these music companies and managers push bands that fit their own views of what a band needs to be. And I believe don't put others out there, so the ones they like don't get outshined. That's just my opinion.

Lzzy’s a great rock vocalist but she can also sing smooth and nice melodic lines and clear vocals as well. The Conan version of “Familiar Taste of Poison” is great as is a live cover or Heart’s “All I Wanna Do” is really good as well. She can play piano as well as guitar. If you dare do a pop song they cover Gaga’s Bad Romance as well which is really good. Her brother is the drummer ..he’s like Animal from the Muppets.. crazy but awesome!!!! I love the “cheeky lyrics”.

Take a look at their album 'Into the wildlife' it's not their latest work but it's the album that came out after this one & it's probably my favourite work of theirs because they mix a lovely bluesy type feel with the very hard rock tone and it works incredibly well with her voice and it has a bunch of much heavier songs too. Their latest album vicious goes heavier again & is probably the heaviest they've done, but it's not my favourite work of theirs. I've seen them quite a few times over the years, the first being back in 2010 opening for Disturbed & Papa Roach, being less well known at the time she practically stunned the crowd by only using her voice for the intro and belting and it was stunning! Halestorm ended up being the best performance of the night even though they came on first no lie & to this day i always make it a priority to see them if they're touring in my country because they put on one hell of a show & out do themselves every time! they're the real deal! 👍

I love Halestorm thanks! Check out her duet with Amy Lee on Break In!!! Its phenomenal. Btw if you find these lyrics interesting, I'd love to see your reaction to the song Do Not Disturb, which is based on a real story 😂

I did run across a fancam video of Lzzy and (Lovebites vocalist) Asami collaborating on stage. Lzzy was wearing high platform shoes, and poor Asami is so short anyway, Lzzy dwarfed her. But you're right, Lzzy doesn't just "front" with a guitar. She has her own signature model with Gibson/Epiphone.

There were fan videos of Asami of Lovebites singing this song with Halestorm at the Download festivals in the UK and Japan but they seem to have been removed from YT. There are some backstage photos which are fun to see. Lzzy in her platform boots just towers over Asami who has heels on.

Found you through your Nightwish reactions and you quickly became my favourite person for reaction videos. You catch things not a lot of the others do. Great to see you doing another of my favourite bands. You wondered if they do anything slower, I'd recommend either Familiar Taste of Poison or Break In. Both are really excellent slower songs.

LOVEBITES picked the name because they were rehearsing and doing covers, and they loved how this one sounded when Asami was singing it. It left an impression on them all. So they decided it would be their name. www.saetori.nl/2018/10/17/interview-lovebites/
