The phrase 'when it rains it pours' usually means when something bad happens it's only going to get worse. But in this situation he flips the meaning so when something good happens it's only going to keep getting better. It also adds perspective in the sense that something you think is bad may not be bad at all.

This beauty was an anthem of mine during my last divorce. So true. Fit my life to a “T”!! “What I thought was gonna be the death of me was my saving grace”. Best line in the song. I love the way you put captions of thoughts during the song and not disrupting it. Different than many reactors!!

The storytelling is why we as a civilization still exist, there is a reason certain music moves us and that is a whole different discussion. 😉

Sabina, I don't know what is wrong with Patreon as I am not receiving any messages from you. I still have been hoping that you listen to the Allman Brothers that I have sent you. I really think that you will like. I also subscribe to other music analysts and no one reviews the Allman Brothers. You all are missing a lot.

My wife likes this kind of country music. Feel good music that's a bit of a jam. Easy listening tracks you can work to, or walk the dogs to. I like more folk country music. The type of thing that tells a darker story, and brings your emotions out. If you're in that kind of mood I'd recommend something like "Elephant" by Jason Isbell, or "We Ain't Even Kin" by Benjamin Tod.

Not sure if you know the song “Fast Car” originally sung by Tracy Chapman. Luke has a really good version of it. He has said that it’s the first song that he learned on the guitar. 👍

Great job with your interpretation of American country music. Although country music has evolved into this poppy-dance type of music. The older stuff was more for the storytelling aspect.

@sabina1118 The king of country is George Strait. Try his song Amarillo by Morning would be a great start. Older than that check out Patsy Cline's song Crazy 🤌. Even Hank Williams's song I'm so Lonesome I Could Cry. All great artists and songs. Have a wonderful day!

Idc about the hate he gets or his political views or anything.. this dudes got the formula for bangers! If you haven’t check out “even though I’m leaving” by him or “till you can’t” by Cody Johnson, there’s not many true country artists that have good story telling songs and they’re some of the few!
