But in this situation he flips the meaning so when something good happens it's only going to keep getting better. It also adds perspective in the sense that something you think is bad may not be bad at all.

My wife likes this kind of country music. Feel good music that's a bit of a jam. Easy listening tracks you can work to, or walk the dogs to. I like more folk country music. The type of thing that tells a darker story, and brings your emotions out. If you're in that kind of mood I'd recommend something like "Elephant" by Jason Isbell, or "We Ain't Even Kin" by Benjamin Tod.
