So.. Hellevator is their 1st track ever and it's a predebut song. They made it because of their survival show and that's why they talk aboutdepression. Hyunjin (one of the rappers) literally said that when he danced before his debut, he dreamed about being an idol and others in the academy laughed at him with the words ”you are not that good to being an idol” so that’s the message in that song. They debuted in 25th March with District 9 and they want to tell that they already debuted, but they are Stray Kids and no one is like them, they have their own district (the album honestly is all about not knowing who you really are, you should check out Mirror) Their 1st comeback was with My Pace and they were 9 in the video you just didn't saw one🤣. This was their most successful back then and it's about what you said.. That everyone is different and they as many people in the world compare themselves with the others, but it's not good, you have to stop!! I Am You (which you have to listen to) is their second comeback and it's the end of the trilogy, about finding yourself. The song is about us - fans and how we are always beside them and support them. Next comeback is Miroh which is a whole new era Clé1: Miroh (cle for key in French and miro for the maze in korean). So many ppl didn't understand the intro at first. Some thought that Stray Kids are fighting with the revolution like the French revolution was. I personally think the intro was something like that, like the countries and specifically Korea that are controlled by these ppl. But the song turned into something different and the lyrics are different (and I honestly still can't connect 2 and 2 together.. STILL!!) In Miroh they are entering in a different world that is actually the idol’s life! It's unknown for them but they ”run” to it even if they don't know the risks and the difficulties. They do it themselves, they themselves run into this world with traps, but it's ”okay” for them. Miroh is EDM song and was popular, they got their 1st ever win with it when it comes. The next and the last ”for now” is Side Effects. This track is EDM just like Miroh and it's about the side effects that comes as a consequence after making a decision. In a society where the younger generations are attempting to break out of traditional structures and forget their own paths, many have made this decision without thinking about the journey ahead. That's why their heads hurts and that's why they scream. The man who talk when the drop comes says: ”Common side effects include: Nervousness Insomnia Nausea Agitation Anxiety Indolence? Sweating Visual problems Psychosis Numbness Dizziness Headaches Weakness/Weight loss" So apparently Stray Kids are KIDS between 1997-2001 and they write and compose their own music. The leader (Bang Chan) formed the group, JYP just did the survival show to tests their abilities. Bang Chan, Changbin (one of the rappers) and Jisung (one of the rappers) are in a sub-unit called 3racha. It was created before Stray Kids to ever exists and they do music (you should check them out). As you can see the rappers are insane, the vocals too, the dance moves. They choreograph every dance themselves because they want to show the meaning through it. They are unique, they are talented, they are amazing. No regrets if you stan them in the future I'm sure!! There are 9 members, 6 of them rap, and all of them sing (though officially, it's basically 3 rappers, 3 vocals and 3 dancers). The one that was rapping really quickly was Changbin, the other rapper that caught your attention in Hellavator was Hyunjin. Chan, Changbin and Han have a subunit called 3racha. Stray kids produce and write their own music/songs too. Also, the main high note in Hellavator is done by Han, who is also one of the main rappers. I hope you can listen to some of their b-side tracks, as well as 3racha's stuff, they're absolutely amazing!

Side effects was talking about the side effects that someone might experience when choosing paths in life. Side effects actually connects to the whole album which is Clé2: Yellow wood. The album was a repackeged album so there was only 3 new songs. The songs were Side Effects, Road not Taken and TMT (Too Much Thinking). If you look at these 3 you are able to see that they connect. When you take the road least taken in life you will experience hardships which are the Side effects of these life choices. These side effects might lead to too much thinking. A person might start to think that if the path they have chosen in life was the right one. I believe that this is what the album is trying to portray. And I believe that all of these apply to Stray Kids. Like you mentioned before Stray Kids are very different, they stand out among the whole kpop community. Their music is really something else. Their goal is not to please the general public but to deliver their messages to their fans through their music. And as you can see the genre that that focus on is EDM. This recent album, Clé2: Yellow Wood was actually not received very well by the kpop community. They called the title track, Side effects "Noise" and said that is was a really bad song. I believe that these are the Side effects that Stray Kids are experiencing for not pleasing the general public.

Hellevator is actually really dark. One of the members actually went through depression. Stray kids always write lyrics about real issues people are going through. Stray Kids is a self made group. JYP did something different and trusted the leader, Chan who trained for 8 years, to choose the members himself. They write and produce ALL of there music themselves since predebut to now. There is a pruducing unit in the team named 3RACHA(Chan, Han, and Changbin, the first rapper that was going in). When they were trainees they would write music and upload them on SoundCloud about bullying, suicide, depression and other serious issues. Now they write music for stray kids along with the other members.

Hellevator was Stray Kids pre-debut song. On the TV show they were on to make sure they all matched skills they got assigned missions by JYP of JYP Entertainment. The first one they got was to create a whole song, everything even a title. They came up with Hellevator. When JYP asked why they wrote it they said that it resembles them. They have been in a dark place (hell being a play on words to describe it) and now they were coming up from that dark place. They have really great songs, dealing with mental illnesses and other stuff. One of their songs is called insomnia. They also have other songs that can be interpreted as anxiety or depression. They like to make music that not only the fans can relate to but also that they relate to. District 9, from what I get out of it is that time in life when you don't know who you are or what's going on and you feel all alone. In the song it seems like they're saying if you feel like this you're welcome with us and all the other stray kids who feel alone. Like we're making our own district (pact) and anyone is accepted even if you feel like you don't have a place in the world. This can be interpreted as feeling that can arise with depression and anxiety. There have also been many people in the LGBT+ community that are comforted/inspired by Stray Kids because there are so many LGBT+ people and kids that have been cast out from their families and rejected. They don't know where else to go and Stray Kids' songs give off a vibe of "you're not alone, even if no one else is there for you we will be". Like even if Stray Kids doesn't know them in person they still care so deeply about everyone in the fan base.

There are 9 of them since the beginning one of them was in the car when they were running in. Here are the meanings for the songs: My Pace: Taking your own pace and doing it your way and not looking at others. Miroh: It is about this society, and how they want to be free. Hellevator: The meaning behind hellevator is that they are in a dark place, they have hit rock bottom with things such as depression, sickness, and basically, they are in hell. But from hell, you can't go anywhere but up so they are going to take the hellevator up out of hell with the help of each other. District 9: They don't know who they are yet but they know that they are different from others and that district 9 is a place that they can be themselves together. Side Effects: Is a song about the side effects of growing up such as pain, anger, depression, and anxiety. A lot of stray kids songs talk about mental struggles, growing up, and finding who you are. They don't just talk about this in songs but like leader bang chan he talks to fans about it during vlives and assures them that they can always come seek help from them whether it is through their music or just opening up about it and they will do their best to try and help them. They are amazing stan talent, stan good souls, stan Stray Kids. The guy rapping at 9:49 was Changbin and the second at 11:06 is Han. :) These are the times from this video, not the song itself.

hey so i wanted to explain something about their concepts. the leader of the group, chan, he always encourages the fans to write them letters or just contact them if they are dealing with issues whether it may be, that they’re comparing themselves to other and causing stress or having an identity crisis. he said although they might not reply to their fans all the time, the fans should still let it out to someone they trust and he wants the fans to trust stray kids enough to talk about what they’re dealing with. and he writes most of the songs based on what the fans tell him that’s going on. like in my pace, he wrote it because of a fan that was comparing themself and causing anxiety and he hoped that the song could help the fan and many others dealing with that. same thing goes for mirror, insomnia, voices, and many other tracks that go over serious topics like that. this is one of the many reasons i love stray kids with all my heart and hope for more success for them in the future. 💖

You should to react to “3Racha” is a subunit from Stray kids and there 3 members of them: the two main rappers and the leader of the group (he is who composed the majority of Stray kids songs). I really recommend it! It’s lit 🔥
