Taeyeon is such a special person. Her songs can literally heal your soul. I hope you can react to her again later because im so sure you're gonna be in love with her. She's the genre herself. Ballad, pop, house, rock, metal, jazz and more. She's in the industry for 15+ years and everyone knows how competitive kpop is but she's still on top. Her success is not just because she has a good songs, she also has a very big heart. She's so supportive to everyone around her. She's the idol of idols. The purpose of the SM Station project to showcase sm artists and producers talent. Sometimes they collabrate with artists from other companies too. 'Rain' is the first SM Station song and it was quickly rise in the charts so SM decided to promote this song in the music shows. It's still the most successful SM Station song. Taeyeon is singer, song-writer and vocal director. She didn't wrote most of her songs BUT she picks her songs very thoughtfully. In a past interview she said 'I’m careful about expressing my emotions. I’m not the type to often share my thoughts.' about song writing. She co-write I (her debut song 2015), Pray (she didn't released 2016), To The Moon (bside 2020), Can't Control Myself (pre-release for INVU album 2022). and if we're talking about the KING we can't forget her concert performances. Every human being should experience her concerts. You will immediately feel the effort she's putting in and how much she loves singing. Also there's a very famous saying “if you fall for taeyeon, there’s no exit''. I'm here since 2009 :)

TAEYEON is my ult. I can write essays about her. She usually doesn't write songs for personal reasons. She's center of the attention and doesn't like sharing her thoughts with general public. That doesn't mean she doesn't involve in the creating progress. Many producers wanna work with her because she's simple the best at delivering whats need to be delivered. She's the leader of Girls Generation (SNSD or Soshi is the abbreviation of their Korean name ,SoNyeo SiDae). She usually says SNSD didn't need a leader but that's not true. She's so reliable as a leader. She is one of the reasons why SNSD lasted this long. If you wanna react to more Taeyeon song I recommend *I (ft. It's an anthem for any social movement. pride parades, abortion legalization, women's rights protests...* Gee (2009): every kpop fan probably heard this song. One of the most covered kpop song ever. Not my fave song from them but the vocals are amazing as always and it's sooo cute *Genie (Tell Me Your Wish) (2009): the perfect song doesn't ex-- this is the perfect song. The adlibs... The harmonization... just everything is perfect about this song* Oh! (2010): Cheerleader song and the concept is sooooo good. *Run Devil Run (2010): This is the Black Soshi. It means the aura is dark. It's connected to Oh!.* The Boys (2011): I C O N I C *I Got A Boy (2013): I do not recommend this song for the first listening. This is the bohemian rhapsody of kpop. It was sooo experimental for 2013* Mr Mr (2014): Another perfect song but don't try to analyse MV. SM lost the footage so they filmed again. It was a mess... *Lion Heart (2015): One of my favourite mvs ever* You Think (2015): Double title track with Lion Heart. Imagine performing completely different song in the same time *Holiday (2017): 10th year anniversary album* All Night (2017): quite emotional for the fans (their fans called SONE. You can pronounce as so-one. It means wish) 5 FREAKING YEAR HIATUS *Forever 1 (2022): This is the 15th year anniversary album. This is like a try not to cry challenge. Also they use a sample from their debut song. It has so many references to their previous songs.*

SoNyuh ShiDae (SNSD) is translated to Girls' Generation (English/international name). 😅 They're a vocal heavy group and THE Nation's Girl Group of S.Korea. You'll enjoy reacting to them because there are 5 vocal line (great singers) and 4 dance line (decent singers). Hope you can check a fan made SNSD guide by ohwoowoo... She's very involved with all her songs that she'll scrap a finished song if she's not satisfied and start again (Gemini) or redo a part and come up with a melody and sing it instead of a rap part (Feel So Fine) even vocal direct some of it (Circus, Here I Am) She co-wrote (I) her debut also changed it to have a high note when originally it doesn't, (To The Moon) for her dog Zero, (Can't Control Myself) as a prerelease for her 3rd full album.. remade the way (If) sounded in the chorus.. just to name a few.. we only get info like these if one of the behind the scenes people talk about it in some obscure interview somewhere.. as Taeyeon doesn't fight to claim credit even if its due.. or when she talks absentmindedly about something in one of her IG lives. Her lyricists all say the same thing, they consult Taeyeon about the song they're working and gauge her personality etc.

There's that, as well as the fact that lyricists and producers fight to work with her bc she's such an amazing singer and bc of how she's able to portray the exact emotions of a song in the way it's intended. I remember the lyricist of U R, Drawing Our Moments, Timeless, Wine etc saying how she feels like she's able to interact with Taeyeon through a mere piece of paper bc Taeyeon seems to recognise where she had put effort to write certain lyrics and she really emphasises on those. Time Lapse was gifted to her by NELL's Kim Jongwan who's also a much respected artist in the industry and in a recent talkshow, he talked about how meticulous he is with choosing which artists to work with and that their portfolio plays a big role for him so to think that he wrote a song for Taeyeon for her 1st full album when she didn't even have that many songs under her belt as a solo artist is amazing. He must've really felt her sincerity through the way she sings. Not to mention, Nell as a whole still praises her cover of their song "Time Spent Walking Through Memories" as the best and most memorable cover they've heard although she did that in 2016. Taeyeon is really such an incredible artist!! 💜

For the in-ear thing you mentioned, she didn't take it out bc that's the only source from which she could hear the music. The studio itself was completely silent so that the mic would pick up solely her voice and then it's added to the instrumental track so the people filming could only hear her raw vocals on-set while the music came directly into her in-ear so only she could hear the music. It must've been an incredible experience to only hear her voice singing like that for 23 min, I wish I was there to witness it🥺🥺

If you want to see her work that she contributed in lyrics and production, watch Can't Control Myself. The lyrics and the mv is so cool and deep. But basically all her mvs are recommended 😂 even her b-sides also good. Watch her live performances because it's much better than studio version 😂

Taeyeon has no bad song. All r gold. I want to encourage you to check out each album from the first release to the most recent one and you'd find out how she is evolve along the way. Her most strong point is when she sings, she conveys emotions.. she tells you a story.. please check out.. btw be prepared to fall into this abyss .. there's no way out..

She really has such a wonderful discography and her live stages are always the best!! She always uses live bands at concerts and it's an incredible experience, she wrapped up her latest tour in August and it was one with an amazingly tough setlist but she slayed every show!! I definitely recommend you check out more of her live stages and albums. For her albums, my personal recommendation is Purpose (repackaged) this album flows so well from beginning to end with an incredible intro song (Here I Am which Taeyeon did the vocal production herself) and ends beautifully with Drawing Our Moments that you heard here, with a range of songs flowing so coherently throughout the album. Her latest full album INVU is also an amazing experience and she's also preparing a new mini album soon so I would say you discovered her right in time hehe I hope you keep discovering more of her masterpieces 💜

About Taeyeon: With 4 solo albums so far, Taeyeon has a much wider and deeper range of work than these 13 samples provide, practically every song she has is unique and often a surprise. Taeyeon is often referred-to as 'King' Taeyeon (a title she once jokingly gave herself, which the K-Pop press, industry and K-pop fans immediately adopted as completely fitting and just a stone-cold fact). Sonyeo Shidae is just the korean word for Girls' Generation. They're one of those groups where their name can be translated into languages.

She set the precedent of debuting as a solo artist for members in a group. Before her and because she's from a 2nd generation group, debuting solo from a group was not a common practice. But with her success in 2015, it is now expected for idols to debut solo at least especially for the more popular members. But what sets her apart is her unique voice, great discography and musicality. It is simply amazing! In fact, some of the younger Kpop fans know her more from being as a soloist and have no idea she was part of this big girl group. 😂

Thanks for reacting to Taeyeon! I think her biggest strength is the emotional delivery in her singing. A composer said that she "sings like a woman who had been divorced 7 times" lol. I love how emotive and versatile she is as a singer. Taeyeon has sung so many genres, she even did metal solo for a Girls' Generation tour 😂

"Calm" does describe her really well, doesn't it? Her parents couldn't have picked a better name, as it's literally what "taeyeon (태연)" means in Korean. I'd say that this cool and relaxed confidence is her natural vibe, but she can be an intense performer and a very animated and sharp comedian as well. She's not one of SK's most legendary idols for nothing. Guitars, piano, strings are a very common occurrence in her discography. She tours solo with a live band, so even songs that are more electronic in nature often get special live arrangements. Taeyeon wrote her solo debut and a couple of songs from her latest albums. She has been through hard times and felt uncomfortable baring more of herself to the public for a while, but she seems to be getting better and, hopefully, we'll see more of her writing in the future. She's done some concept development and vocal direction for herself as well.
