1. Lyrically, Tool is a top tier band, but honestly, you probably shouldn't even bother too much trying to figure it out or pay attention on the first listen. They can get pretty deep, and it's rare to catch it on the first time (especially on 46 & 2). I'd say this is the one band that you can actually read the lyrics and song meaning in advance and be just fine. The music is what really matters the most. 2. For reaction videos (ESPECIALLY with Tool), every time you pause the music, you should always rewind about 5-10 seconds when you restart. In this song/video, you completely lose the vibe each time you interrupt/pause and then restart.

Yeah I agree and I would suggest you Don't clap with the song either it's annoying to your listeners and disrespects the band, just listen and figure out time signatures after. @jek48373 жыл бұрын
@@shanemason4031 Yeah, the time signature obsession is always a little odd for me. Yes, Tool has odd time signatures, but if someone is paying attention to that then they are absolutely missing far more important things going on at that moment. To each their own, though.

I hope you guys enjoy more Tool. Their lyrics are incredibly deep but in a different way or subject than Rage is. You won't ever find a consistent head bob or beat, they change it up constantly. Listen to Pneuma, Laterauls, Push It, Right in Two, Schism. All Tool songs are incredible

At 5:50 you are absolutely right about not being able to grab it all. There is alot to unpack in tool's music as well as maynard's lyrics. As a musician myself I also tend to focus on music before lyrics and typically take a few listens before I feel like I have full rounded analyisis of a song. Great video guys I look forwad to seeing more of your reactions!

If you guys rock with TOOL after hearing this, y’all need to check out the Danny Carey DrumCam version of Pneuma. It will blow your mind no cap.

Tool is definitely next level. The creativity in this band is crazy. Listening to Tool in the dark is the closest I get to meditation. I love going along for the ride, and just get lot in it.

As someone new here, I didn't realize you didn't record your mics. Everything sounded fine and I loved the video! Hope to see more Tool reactions 😁

14:42 “You’re gonna be angry with me...” thought he was gonna say something he didn’t like about the song, but then the silence.... and I just busted out laughing cuz I knew he was trolling his buddy and was gonna say it wasn’t recording. He didn’t even have to say it and you could see the defeat on his friends face 😂😂😂 I’ve done that while filming before; shit’s hilarious

Congratulations on your discovery! Enjoy the journey that is Tool. Keep in mind that they are basically their own genre. Throw any and all expectations out the door! Avoid the music videos and YES! Have lyrics handy!

I loved y'all's reaction! Please check out Pneuma from their 2019 latest album. Then immediately watch Danny's live drumcam during a concert performance of Pneuma...or watch the live one first, whichever 😊.
