My first ride out on my CBR, passed my test and came straight home to get out on her, can't believe the time has actually come after waiting 3 months since buying her. #cbr600rr #repsol #bikelife #sportbike

Congrats on passing mate, love the bike too! Nice to see a new rider with the balls to do a video of their first ride!! Just passed my mod 2 yesterday and awaiting delivery of my cbr600rr, nervous but excited to get out on the road!

@@eRA-Nick thank you. Just wanted to document the moment really. Learning day by day to ride it better. Congrats on passing, so cool to have a new bike to go out on, especially one as nice as that!

@@eRA-Nick cheers mate. I was considering an advanced course but still have ptsd from my test so maybe one day.

Rev matching is not really needed mate, it sounds great, looks cool and is perfect for the track but what you are missing by rev matching is engine braking which has many more advantages for day to day riding.

@@pinnacle_moto agreed. I’ve tried several times to do it but somehow 8 times out of 10 I manage to leap the bike forward in doing it. Can’t see how it can do the engine a lot of harm in day to day riding

You can ride a sport bike all day long if you set up the bikes ergonomics to your body (levers & rear sets position) and use your legs to squeeze the tank and put weight on your feet with very little weight on your hands. If you put your weight on your hands, it will hurt your wrists and back, plus limit the bikes natural ability to self stabilize once bumps. Your doing great for just passing, keep it up, I'm along for the ride.

thanks for your comments, I try and grip the tank more now and seems to help.

Congratulations mate :) Feels great don't it. I know at the start there are loads of nerves. I've been riding over 30 years now and I guess if you wanted some advice. Ride your own ride at all times. Lots of solo riding will make you a much better rider than riding with friends.

Lovely bike mate. I like the mirrors 😄 did you put them on?
@Studiggler2 ай бұрын
Hi. Yes put them on myself but have now put originals back on. Really can’t see much in them 👎🏻

@@Studiggler ah, probably a wise choice mate. Better being safe than sorry. Bikes minted 👌🏻

Give us some tips for new riders when you are out and about next time always great to hear from people who have recently passed. I'm still in the MOD1/MOD2 stage its been a long slog since March just to get lessons done due to how busy schools are. Hopefully won't be much longer as i have an R6 waiting in the garage as my first bike call me a nutter but it's what i've wanted from my 20s so i had it :)

Thanks for the tip 👍🏻 hope all goes well with the mod1 & 2. It definitely helped having the bike sitting there waiting for me as motivation.
