Happy to see you swinging again. I would go nuts if I didn't hit golf balls every day. 👍

Good to see you back on the course. It’s not easy to find a rhythm when it’s cold and windy. All you can do is keep swinging.

Hi Chad Your swing almost looks like Square to Square. The only things missing are the shaft lean, with the wedge and the left foot in “what Sam calls the runners block”. Welcome back to the golf course. Cheers Ben

Been fighting injuries since 2015, it's been an adventure for me to readjust my swing and body. Since 2015, I've had 2 shoulder surgeries with them removing my right shoulder, then had lower back surgery in 2021, also had my middle finger bit off trying to up a dog fight had surgery to repair that, and as of now I'm meeting with my back doctor for most likely another surgery in December. It took me years to try and figure out a swing that works for me.

Man.... that is an armada of hurdles to deal with. Forget golf, that's tough just to exist with. Hopefully, you get good news for December.

If you want the wind at your back you’ll have to set an industrial fan behind you while on simulator, did you pinch the nerve working around the house or compressing it with all those golf tech body positions, really happy to see you on course again

I'm not sure, honestly. It seemed to come out of nowhere, but I've put a lot of miles on the chassis in the past, so I'm sure it's catching up to me.

Those near ace old-hole-holes-in-one will keep you coming back no matter how much you start to hate the game 🙂 A lot of players would like to shoot 84 having hit only 2 greens. My take on your on course swing is that you were overturning your hips and your shoulder plane was quite a bit too flat (both things that showed up at Golftec, if I remember correctly) although you've gotten way better in general at countering over the top influences. I know that you're not a numbers and details guy when it comes to the swing but tour pros are generally in the low to mid forty degrees for shoulder incline at the top. The shoulder and hip thing is going to make consistent impact hard because generally you want your lower abdomen to be on plane with the plane of the club through the impact zone and it gets pretty hard to get the belly back into a good position from where you were at the top. In the sim swings that produced better impact, I think that your shoulder plane could still be a little steeper but you were curtailing the hip overturning quite a bit. You were also hanging back more with your head and getting the trail side of the abdomen a little more in towards the target line which was allowing you to plane the lower abdomen and swing down the line somewhat better. In general though, I think steeper shoulder plane and keeping your hip turn a little more restricted is going to pay dividends for consistency of striking and will be less timing dependant. I hope that it helps and that things are also well with your wife. Cheers.

I had a few other people mention I looked flat. As I keep healing up, I'm sure I'll get better. I had some real muscle loss in my back and shoulder and arm.

@@GolfTestDummy Sorry to hear about the muscle loss but with the amount that I know that you love hitting balls (great to see you swinging again by the way), you'll have those puppies back up and firing on all cylinders in no time. Cheers.

Welcome back Sir! I may have missed it in the video but what did you think of the Balls you tried? Also, going to play without any warm-up... you gotta expect that to not help man.😄
@GolfTestDummy
@GolfTestDummy 10 ай бұрын
It never does, haha. The ball was fine, and that's really the gist of the assessment. I think it is "good", haha. Terribly undescriptive and flat, I know, but the truth is, it was fine. Not great, not crap, but fine. The Straighfli and the Tour are more remarkable.

Swing looked tight. Spaghetti arms and bring that trail shoulder into the finish without stopping shoulder rotation. .

Sup, Chad. I tried to post the link for your viewing and analysis but it won't do it so here is the KZbin video I received in my email today: The Seven Sacred Steps Revealed!!! Miracle Swing Experience That's the OTT. I've wasted 20 years shallowing the club and going against all instinct??? Maximum leverage. Your jouney could be OVER. We shall see. This is suppossed to be IT as far as swing mechanics. Marcus sure as hell isn't doing THIS.

Chad, first off, happy you recovered from your pinched nerve. Based on how bad you said you played, you’re lucky you shot an 84. It sounded more like a 90’s round. You shouldn’t expect to play well after being away for a few weeks, your timing, sequence and rhythm are all off, and it takes a while for them to get back in sync. Also, simulation golf, as you know, is very different from the real thing. You’re not hitting off a level mat in a controlled environment with no consequences. Good luck getting back to form. Cheers.

Yeah, I've always said, if it wasn't for my short game and putting being decent, I'd have worse scores throughout all these experiments. Saving grace.

You look like you’re swinging flat not up right. What swing method are you using? I just thought your swing naturally more upright.

No real swing method. Just attempting to keep the face looking at the ball and stay "facing" my chest the ball more.
