First Skateboard Setup after 10 Years - 2021

I'm right there with you..I used to skate all day every day for 20+ years.. been off the board about 10. just put together a new set up and I feel like a new born deer..I figured it would be like riding a bike... not at all..I've just been pushing around trying to get my balance back.. figured I'd try and set up and see if I can still Ollie... and it was the most terrifying feeling.. I never be as good as I was but soon ill be able to cruise around a park and not feel completely out of control.. and for the first time in my life I bought a helmet lol..46.. not sure how many years I have left.. might as well start protecting myself a little better.

I did switch up my setup a bit.. so my main complete is an 8.6 welcome, indy hollow 149, bronson raws and I had some 101 ojs... just rolling around sucked so I got some 55mm 85a ricta clouds.. after just pushing down the street I went out and bought 2 more sets of the clouds for my other completes. best wheels I've ever skated. Still great for street and park skating but so smooth mellow and fast

@@chrisnoel1864 Nice Set Up, just focus on the basics. But I would also suggest you to buy a cruiser board just for riding around the town with atleast 65mm wheels. So just have fun and don't overdo it with skating at the age, just have fun :D

Thank you so much! Omg yess! The fp gamechangers helped me soo much while skating. Especially if you have flat feet, skating gets usually so fast exhausting. Buying definitely more of these insoles.

just focus on the basics like good ollies, 180s, shuv its, consistency is key as you get older. i work on all the basics in every stance fakie, switch and nollie, and weight placement after i lock into grinds. have fun! do you know what wheelbase you like to ride? i found out that you can skate any size as long as its the same wheelbase the tricks will feel the same. Have Fun! you wont need those risers with 54mm wheels.

My current set up has smaller trucks than the deck but just around 3 mm. I like it, but for 50-50 grinds wider trucks would be nicer.
