This ironically reminds me of "The Middle" by Jimmy Eat World!! I have always loved that song cause it was an amazing anthem for those of us who never quite fit in. I think Jimmy was pretty good actually...it was written from the perspective you all had at that time. It's amazing to see where you are now though! For a punk-ish song put together by a bunch of hugh-schoolers in early\mid 00's it actually sounds very decent. Nice guitar riffs and good lyrics without unnecessary screams, swearing and excessive edginess. I mean, of course it's not mixed, mastered or even gain-staged, but let's be fookin' realistic here, show me a 16-17yo kid from the early 00's who knew what these things even meant, let alone knew how to do them. In high school I had a guitar player friend who wanted to start a band with my bass player friend and I, so he had me practice drums (because we needed a drummer more than a keyboard player). Our band was called "Birdfinger" and we only recorded three songs with a cheap handheld recorder. Also none of us sang so they ended up just being instrumentals. And it didn't have any epic cover art like yours.
