Blimey that's brought back some memories, I used to do the journey from Doncaster to Sheffield on the bus back in the early 80's to go and watch Sheffield United, this is just about the same route that I remember, I think it cost 25p each way in those days 😀

To be honest, I'd never take the bus from Sheff to Rotherham or Donny again, the frequent stopping at lights and traffic through Attercliffe/Carbrook/Meadowhall are annoying. Much quicker to get the tram, TT or train (obviously the buses do provide a vital service for intermediate stops!)

It's the only one in South Yorkshire in this livery, the rest that do the X78 are more of a yellow than cream, and they are branded Mainline.

Use x 78 alot live balby work Doncaster now travel my family Rotherham alot so this bus service ideal for me get in it outside my house and there in 30 mins 40 mins trains rubbish now to travel local ok going far away
