Anything with an engine and wheels, Jimmy can bring back to life, and make Run. He's truly an amazingly talented, top tier, knowledgable, humble mechanic..I think Jimmy is your New Manic Mechanic. This bike is truly stunning. Too bad it can't talk. It would have many good stories to tell. Definitely a head turner and attention getter. Great video!

Man you hit the nail on the head… that we only have a few years in this life… yeah everybody that’s listening get up and do something you once enjoyed doing.. man I’m 61 and it seems like life just flew by… I’d give anything to go back to the 1970s.. that’s a awesome bike… that’s definitely a treasure… thanks for the video buddy…

I was fortunate in my teens that my neighbor across the road had many antique motorcycles. In his collection he had a 1924 Henderson inline 4 at 1500 cc's. I got to ride the wheels off it. It was very fast and exciting and smooth. In the owner's manual it said from 6 to 10 mph. Many of these bikes were parted out from their motor and the motor separated from the transmission for ultralight airplanes it's lucky that this cycle is fully intact

The Excelsior-Henderson Brand was auctioned off in 2018. Excelsior-Henderson saw its greatest successes under the ownership and direction of Ignaz Schwinn, whose empire in Chicago was created from profit on his bicycles. During 10 years, from 1911-21, Henderson’s were the only 4-cylinder motorcycles produced in the U.S., and by the late 1920s, it was Excelsior-Henderson and Indian that dominated the 45 cubic-inch market with the Super X and Scout models. Schwinn correctly foresaw a major downturn in motorcycle sales for 1930, and decided to pull the plug on his big bikes and focus on bicycles, which were likely to continue selling well when jobs were scarce. The company never again produced motorcycles.

Excelsior-Henderson faded from the scene, and an attempt to sell the brand at a Mecum auction in 2018 was unsuccessful. But in December 2020, the name was bought by Bajaj, the giant Indian manufacturer that has links with firms including Kawasaki, KTM, and Triumph.

There was a company in the UK called Excelsior, based in Coventry, was a British bicycle, motorcycle and car maker. They were Britain’s first motorcycle manufacturer, starting production of their own ‘motor-bicycle’ in 1896. They made great bikes as well.

Ken lgnaus Schwinn owned Excelsior and Henderson motorcycle companies at the same time he owned Schwinn corporation during the great depression Ignatius Swin made the decision to shutter both Excelsior and Henderson motorcycle companies but yes, Schwinn owned both of those manufacturing motorcycle companies. Ignaus Schwinn also had a good friend who raced Hendersons killed on one, and some say that was part of his decision.
