Just a little tip, when doing the coolant, make sure you fill the pipe with coolant before opening the valve, otherwise there’s air in the pipe that’s sucked into the system

Been screaming at my TV for years telling all these car youtubers to get one of those systems. Seems they all constantly fight the cooling systems and that tool helps so much.

Seems that the engine immobilizer is the problem with the turn off issue. You can't use a different ECU with another engine without programming this. Greetings from Germany!

Exactly! They changed everything but you need to change ecu, speedometer, etc for it to work. With a different ecu the millage on title would say incorrect mileage

its typically not the engine but rather the key, cluster, some modules and ecu that all need to match or have the immobilizer removed in order to work. as far as vw/audi goes thats pretty much it, i'd assume the same for porsche given its a vag car.

@@imurofaca6430 not true. VAG cars immobilizers will let the car start and then cut out about a second after. Just as this is doing. I'd assume.porsche is exactly the same. The ECU, dials and key all need to match, or be demobilised or codes changed to match eachother.

It’s also a good idea to have coolant run through the hose before you open the valve because if you noticed it will suck in air before it sucks in coolant if that makes sense, so the system was air free until it sucked up the air in the hose

The ECU is freaking out and going into security mode. Because the car thinks it’s being stolen. If you look the security light will be on.

It likely going to be the immobilizer. You are going to have to program the key to the PCM.

Actually the air bleeding process is like doing a brake job on some prius's I work at toyota and you need a scan tool to talk to the ecu and it actuates each caliper at a time then let the accumulator do its thing

I would say try installing the cold air intake and connect the air flow sensor. I believe that’s the reason why it’s not staying on.

these cars are mafless, they use a map sensor instead so there isnt a "air flow" sensor in the intake.

forgetting one wire or plug is so common. I installed a new sprinkler controller yesterday. Had 3 wires only. Zone 1, 2, and C. I plugged C into M and was wondering why it did not work. Had to go back and double check my work.

I think the signal from the key doesn't match the engine computer, so the security system shuts the fuel off. When you are able to read the codes, it should help with that diagnosis.

Check the factory immobilizer System since you changed ecu the immobilizer might be tripped which will fuel cut the car.

Fun fact, that’s how I’ve always filled my custom water cooled computer. A lot easier than slowly filling and cycling the power supply to fill the loop.

Check your fuel float and make sure it’s sitting properly in the tank .. weird I know … but that’s one mechanical suggestion . Obviously make sure there’s fuel . But yea .. good shit bruv 🤙🏽

Any car with an abs module that has had brake lines serviced require a car scanner to command the abs module to open and close nothing special from porsche but still a good fyi for anyone who isint aware

For the next video, on the right screen on the gauge cluster, every Porsche Model and trim will display which model/trim it is. Does it display GT3RS or does it Display GT3? Im curious to know what it shows since the ECU came off the RS.

So glad the car started. TJ is making mistakes just like the rest of us. Simple mistakes can dereail a project. I can’t wait to see this car finished.
