AMONG THOSE GAMES? 7 were by single digits. 4 were single possession. Down to the wire games. No we didn't beat those teams because we were better. We just happen to win. It happens. the game count is very misleading. So... why did we win? you can sum it up to the clutch factor of the 2 mavs stars. And we are NOT talking about them, we're talking about the new additions. Ours were good. theres were better for their team. Its that simple. NOW. Do i actually think those other teams are better? No i do not, and for a very obvious reason. Luka's knees will heal. Its NOT about the new additions. without a healthy luka none of the mavs changes mean anything.

We added Grimes and Marshall for defense! We still got Pj and our two centers Lively and Gafford! Thompson is a good defender not great like he used to be! Why is this narrative being pushed that Dallas will be terrible on the defensive end. Dallas was ranked number one on that end the last 20 games of the season. Derrick Jones Jr was only playing 20 minutes a game! Tim Hardaway was playing 25. And we replaced those two with Marshall and Thompson! At worse are defense will be the same but most likely better. Am I missing something here?
