There r now 500 students, 200 r local Indian students.

The Dalai Hill is formerly called Lha So Ri ལྷ་གསོ་རི། In་the past there was neither the statue of Buddha or fencing but only incense chamber where Tibetan come to offer incense and string prayer flags. Student used to go there to study just a month before annual exams.

The last time i spoke to the principal of the school in april, he said there were close to 400 students, including the day scholars. He also said the figure will increase once the class X board results are out and then would undertake the new class XI batch students. Hope it helps!
