Jonathan, normally in the hotels they dont have good coffee. Im Spanish adnd lived in Portugal, London and now Los Angeles, and I can tell you, there is really good Italian style coffee in Spain. You just need to go to cafeterías or city restaurants

Hotel coffee is the worst because it is “tourist friendly” so it is not real Spanish coffee. Seguro que es aguachirri 😅

I'm British, love Spain for so many reasons: great fresh produce, excellent hotels, beaches, diverse beautiful landscape and townscape, friendly people, the lifestyle and generally the quality of everything is amazing. YES, SUMMERS CAN BE HOT BUT AT LEAST YOU HAVE SUMMER. WINTER MONTHS IN MANY PLACES ARE REALLY COLD (MADRID, AVILA, SORIA, LEON, GALICIA ETC) BUT WE ENJOY WINTER SPORTS, CHOCOLATE CON CHURROS ETC. 👍❤🇪🇸

Your hotel looks cool and I’m sure kids club is great but visiting another country and being the whole day at the hotel is really a pity because you are missing out the beauty of Spain. You will be able to say “I went to the Windham hotel” but not “I visited Málaga” really. Maybe you can at least go to the beach one day. I’m sure the kids will enjoy it and so will you. 😊

Would love to see more of Spain outside the resort. I only go in shopping centres on holiday if it is raining or too hot to do anything else. They are nearly the same everywhere you go.

You should go to Fuengirola for dinner one evening! They've got a whole street with just restaurants, lots to choose from. If you're having issues finding big taxis, why not just take seperate ones? I know it's more expensive (though I know some taxi companies charge more for bigger cars), but it's only a short drive of max 10 minutes from your resort (same exit on the motorway as when you went to the mall). I'm sure the kids would love it! Marbella the old town is also a nice place to visit, but it's a longer drive. And I get what you're saying that it feels like you're staying in the middle of nowhere, that's one of the things I don't like about Spain - motor ways everywhere so it's not walkable and you're reliant on having a car/transport. Pretty when you get where you're going though. Really you're very central where you are now. I've stayed there four or five times, there's lots of things you could do. If you got a rental car you could even drive to Gibraltar! Long drive with kids, but really there's lots to do close by as well. The beach is just across the road. Puerto Banus is nice as well

Oh, you should go to that town up in the mountains! Mijas I think it's called? Ask in the reception, they'll know. It's not far from where you're staying at all. Great views, lots of restaurants, little shops.

Be careful of those pigs, or wild bores, here in the SouthWest in America they can be fast and fierce. It would be taxing to keep an eye on everyone, especially as you move through the mall, but you are such good parents, you make it look doable and fairly easy. Andrea seems so sweet, good tempered, self-entertained and interesting - is he a lot like Amelia was at that age? So nice to get to see how they all are growing and changing - thank you for sharing these up-dates of your beautiful family. ❤️

My goodness, Emilia was always the sweetest. Seems to already be showing that early teenage attitude. Always pouting and crossing her arms with attitude. Should try to correct it now or she's going to be a handful in a couple of years. Maybe teach her to not show it by teaching not to cross her arms. She's growing too fast and getting so tall.
