Well that’s good to hear, I was hoping this wasn’t the norm for a Friday.

Lost coaster of Superstition mountain war originally kinda a mix of a coaster with dark ride elements. the part of the track that runs along the antique cars. was built on the old coaster tracks. when the ride first starts you can see a skeleton in one of the original cars. The second coaster you rode. the Cyclone. in its spot was a similar coaster called the Galaxy. it was the first coaster in the park. but the previous owners removed it with the intention of building more water slides. I think its nice to see the current owners bring an old classic coaster back in its place. The Waterslides were build around the old Galaxy. The thing I like about the coasters of Indiana Beach. is since the park has a small footprint. the coasters all move along side of each other and threw each other. which makes a great experience. I grew up going there in the late 70s and 80s.

Really appreciate the background info! What a great park to grow up visiting, I can’t wait to come back!

I've always wanted to go to Indiana Beach. I live in the Chicago area and they used to advertise on Chicago TV stations trying to get the Northwest Indiana crowd. For them it may be closer than Great America.

It's great to see an enthusiast at Indiana Beach. I'm close by in Chicago but haven't been to Indiana Beach in a veeeerrrryyy long time. I'm pretty certain I rode something very similar to Cyclone (Galaxy?) at a time when it may not have even had lap bars. I thought I was going to fly out of my seat! Which thinking about it now may have been the starting point of my love/fear relationship with roller coasters. 😅Although I do generally love all coasters now 😁

I’m glad I made it there! It was a fun park. My next video will be Great America though, I’m jealous you have that close by. I absolutely love it 👍

@@trtvwd Yay! I'm looking forward to your SFGAm video! I do feel it's an underappreciated park by vlogger standards. Even though I'm close by, I've only made it once so far this year and itching to get back on Goliath, Raging Bull, and Maxx Force!

Those 3 were incredible! I’ve ridden raging bull prior but the other two were new to me and they both exceeded the hype! Great park 🤘

Did I hear right ? You paid $20 to park ? On the end of the park where the Giant Ferris Wheel is, you walk across the suspension bridge and there's FREE parking. Frankenstein's Castle is only an extra $3 or $4. Well worth it. When you come back. take the paddle boat cruise on the lake. Very relaxing and you're on the water for 45 minutes. It's called the Shafer Queen and it's included with admission

About Steel Hawg, I'm surprised that more of the El Loco models haven't been sold. They are all good option for smaller parks or even parks like Dorney Park or Great Escape looking to add a smaller thrill coaster.

The Park looks rough. Outdated. Falling apart.

I didn't think it was that bad! Could definitely use some love but it's got character.
