First Time Barefooting!

If you haven't had the chance to barefoot, Nate's expression will be enough to make you wanna try it out! If you have access to a barefoot boom, even better. Usually we are wakeboarding at OWC but not for this 15 minutes we snuck out on the Nautique 200.

I just tried bare footing this morning while camping and had lots of fun! I only got up for about a second but still! I am 16 and have been pulling our family friend bare footing for years so it was awesome to try it my self!

You guys are proving a theory I’ve had for years I grew up in South Florida and was a Avid skier my whole life as I aged I did do mostly Wakeboarding which I really love and got some heat from my Water Ski Buddies about ? I had always wanted to ski on a 4X8 sheet of plywood just because I never successfully bare footed but we used to all work on it skiing on the Intracoastal waterway btw we never had a boom pole either

Thats awesome. I never did get lucky enough to try a boom. We always sat on a knee board to get up to speed. But the longest ive ever gone on my feet was mabey 1000 feet. Thanks for the vids and its great reminecing about the days i grew up on a lake!

I wish you showed us how to go barefoot on a long rope with a ski start and a ski drop technique.

Ski drops are hard, I recommend a deep water start: lay on your back, cross your legs over the rope, and hold the handle by your waist. Yell hit it, arch your back and exhale through your nose, and in a few seconds you'll be skittering on your butt. That's much easier in a snug life jacket, at least a wetsuit if not a barefootting suit is highly recommended. He also mentioned a wakesurfer, sitting on an old kneeboard, or heck, a body board/boogie board is also an easy way to get into it, whether you lay on your stomach with feet trailing and hold the rope at the nose, then transition from laying to kneeling to sitting when the boat is at 20 mph, or if you sit on it right at the start. Just keep those toes up!
