OUR UPDATED CAMPING MUST HAVES: amzn.to/3o42stW
Cultus Lake Provincial Park is one of the most popular destinations in the Lower Mainland located 90 mins southeast of Vancouver, Canada. If you're looking for fun things to do in the Fraser Valley this recreation destination is great for camping, fishing, kayaking, hiking, swimming, including fun attractions and so much more! Cultus Lake Park is known as the Jewel of the Fraser Valley surrounded by scenic mountain ranges and a large freshwater lake that typically feels warmer than other lakes in the region. As Cultus Lake is a summer resort town in BC, most of the attractions are only open in the warmer busy season.
As we enjoyed the sunny weather eating and playing at Cultus Lake Golf Course, we're excited to spend the night camping in one of the four campgrounds in Cultus Lake Provincial Park. Upon reaching Delta Grove campground we were surprised that our campsite has its own private beach with a scenic view of the mountains, this is the perfect spot to camp in the Lower Mainland BC. And as we thought this is the best camping we've experienced, we started to see dark clouds rolling by and hoped that we will not be camping in the rain. After a few hours, it started to rain, thus we experienced camping in the rain for the first time.

"Stop vlogging, it's not safe!!" 😂❤️ I'm glad you guys managed to stay dry! And thanks for the golf lesson! I've only been mini golfing so now I feel like I'm ready for the links! 😉 I'm sure the waterpark at Cultus is closed right now, but it's lots of fun if you ever get the chance to go 😊

Yay! I’m glad you enjoyed yourselves in spite of the rain! That’s the mark of a good camping experience. If you can get rained on and still have a good time, you’re doing it right! A tarp may help with the sound (just make sure to angle it so the water runs off and away from your tent, otherwise it can pool in the middle of the tarp) and in due time you may learn to actually enjoy the sound of the rain. The more you go, the more you’ll feel safe from the rain, and then you just start to feel cozy when you are lying in your warm sleeping bag knowing you’re fully protected. I’m so glad you’re enjoying camping, and I’m looking forward to next week!

@@NatandMax You’ll get there. You’re learning at an opportune time. The weather will be pretty forgiving for most of the summer, so you get to learn how great camping can be, and learn the things you’ve been displaying in your videos. You can cook, stay warm, build fires, and all the necessities now. At this point, learning to deal with the rain is just another new thing. I would just recommend a tarp and not to let anything inside the tent that you want to stay dry touch the sides of the tent (the sides get wet). Apart from that, you’ll be experts in no time! PS, I saw you use a DJI Mini. I’ve been looking at getting the same one. Would you recommend it? I’ve been especially interested in it because the quality still looks great and it’s under 250g, so neither the US or Canadian FAA really have any say on where I can fly it. Basically, any regrets not getting the Pro or Air?

Another great tip!🙌 Thanks! For the Mavic Mini, we definitely recommend it. We may be biased since we haven’t really tried the Pro or the Air. But the Mini does the job for the price😁 The portability is a big factor too if you plan to bring it on the go, its small and compact. We think they made a Mavic Mini 2 which has better specs overall. 😊 But we only have the first mini and it fits in great with what we need😊

@@NatandMax Yeah. The portability is definitely a selling feature. I would definitely be getting the 2.

Hey! Thanks for checking us out😊 I think they sell the fire wood where you buy the permits. We just bought ours from a gas station🙂
