It is so funny that you say that the song gives you Sabaton vibes since Blind Guardian are way older, one of the first power metal bands in fact. They were formed in 1984 as Lucifer's Heritage and released their first album in 1988 under Blind Guardian, I have had the pleasure to hear this song live! I can give a fun fact about this song, it is good that you chose to do a lyric video because the symphonic intro and one verse does not exist in the original version (simply called Sacred by the band.) It was when they were recording At The Edge Of Time that they had access to a real orchestra and made the version we now know as Sacred Worlds. This is one of their more progressive/symphonic tracks had to do a slight chuckle at the comment that Hansi sings more cleanly than Joakim, Hansi Kürsch the vocalist of Blind Guardian can go everywhere with his voice. He can sound very different in different moments from the same song. I do not see a lot of reactions of my favourite Guardian track which is Fly from the album A Twist In The Myth. Blind Guardian mostly write songs about fantasy books and some of my favourite songs are: Nightfall, Time Stands Still (At The Iron Hill) and Blood Tears all three songs from Nightfall In Middle Earth which is a concept album about The Silmarillion. You can find good live versions of Nightfall and Time Stands Still (At The Iron Hill). Blood Of The Elves is a kickass newer track about The Witcher, it has an official video and I had lots of fun hearing that one live. Now inevitably people are going to ask for The Bard's Song (In The Forest) I request you do the recently released revisited version as that version is a true tribute to what the song means to people, you can do a live version afterwards you can literally find hundreds of them. Also people are going to call it just The Bard's Song but the full title is The Bard's Song (In The Forest) because everyone forgets about the second part The Bard's Song (The Hobbit).

There is a sidequest (actually a quest chain) in the game Sacred 2 that, if completed, gives the actual music video as a quest reward.

This is a crazy first song to jump into from Blind Guardian without any idea what's coming... Talk about the deep end of the pool! It made for a fun reaction. These guys are one of my all time favorite bands, yet they get very little reaction love. I get it. Symphonic Power Metal is uber-niche, but they are stellar musicians who have been at it non-stop since the 1980s! Their claims to fame are Hansi's majestic vocal harmonies, insanely intricate guitar shredding, and lyrics that go deep into Fantasy, History, & Science Fiction. To hear what they've been up to lately, a great track off their last album is called Deliver Us From Evil about the Salem Witch Trials: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mmLQnKSwaZdlosksi=mZl1Mbr7l2hCMEZa

This song is like the metal version of The Sorcerer's Apprentice.

Even I am confused and don't know why it make sense to my simple mind that MEDIEVAL matches damn well with POWER METAL, maybe cus all those bands mostly tell tales of old or pull things from literature and video/board games?

Blind Guardian was one of the first Power Metal bands i discoveed back in the 90`s. Somewhere far beyond was the album that hooked me, Imaginations was great, but nightfall was the masterpiece.Through the years there were times whem I didn`t listen to them and I thought they were becoming a little bit boring but with this album they were right on track again! Btw, @Lee reacts: they were not influenced by Sabaton but more likely the other way around! I love my daily Sabaton dose, they are really great, but BG was in the scene way earlier than them. Their first album came out late 80`s while Sabaton`s was early 2000`s? Nonetheless 2 great bands!
