Dude, that amazing voice is not limited to the studio. I would very much like to see you react to the live version from their performance of this epic song on Conan. Complete with an orchestra, David Draiman overcame the flu that day to deliver a performance for the ages. That performance introduced the song, and the band, to the world as Paul Simon reached out to them shortly thereafter. Calling it the greatest cover performance of any of his songs, he posted it on his social media. Conan actually celebrated the performance last year when it became the first video from his show to get over 100 million views. Keep up the great work!

What is unique about this cover in my mind is the actual notes being played. Don't get me wrong, David can sing. There is no question about that. But go back and listen past David's singing and hear the instruments. Besides each instrument being introduced in order to build a harmony, there are little motifs of the guitar, of the piano, of the strings and of the drums that occur during the "silence" when David is catching his breath before belting out the next line of lyrics. I have never really heard that before and definitely not in any Simon & Garfunkel cover. That is the brilliance of the composer adding to this "piece of art".
