Hell yeah! Nice job for your first time man. Once you get the hang of it you should get a 8-9 weight and catch stripers/blues, it’s so addicting. I rarely ever pick up a spinning rod anymore after learning how to fly fish proficiently haha. Unless the conditions don’t allow for fly fishing. Lmk if you ever need any tips

Thanks dude. I actually went and bought a 6wt after this. I figured snapper/cocktail blues would be good for the 6wt to practice. I also know of some small striper holes for over the summer where I think I’ll try and use it as well. It was fun and I hope to get better with it!
