FIRST TIME @ HABITAT FOR HUMANITY RESTORE/STORE WALK THROUGH (thrifted finds)

I found at a Habitat store a pristine Stickley (high end manufacturer most known for their Mission Oak) upholstered sofa for $125. Most of the other sofas were $100 more, dirty and outdated. There have also been midcentury with those wide angled arms for with a matching chair that must have been encased in plastic for fifty years or more. Thanks gramma for protecting these gems for your great grandchildren to love and appreciate.

I have only been in one habitat store and that was in Columbus, Ohio and I liked the things and the prices were good. Yesterday I found a channel where the woman takes us to habitat or Re-stores and all the prices were very good and the furniture looked good. The one even had an antique furniture section with beautiful things and nice prices. I don't know where you are or where that woman is that I just spoke of, but I do believe that it depends on where you live. I am in West Virginia and our thrift stores are quite reasonable.

The store was amazing very clean and organized but some of the prices were a bit high like the lamps I was shocked to see them that high in price even if some of them were discontinued 1/2 price it would a bit much for me but I enjoyed the window shopping trip ❤❤❤❤

Hi my friend love the walk through but ; 90% was priced a little high I have a store here and you wouldn't believe the prices it's terribly expensive and over priced....WOW! I don't even go on anymore not even to look around... I agree that the prices seemed to run high, although I've seen fancy doors like that one Run into the $1200-1500 range in retail stores. Perhaps they are starting out high to be able to absorb any eventual markdowns. (That vintage dresser with the round mirror was on half price, and that made me absolutely DROOL!) I also wonder if the higher prices were due to it being in the Atlanta Market, which supports higher paying jobs in some fields. There is another KZbin-er who does walk-through videos on Habitat stores in rural 'county' stores, and their prices are much lower. Anyway...Thanks for taking us along. I have mobility issues and can't really get out much, so these are great fun for me! Happy Hunting, lol😊

Yes, for things that will need some restoration, I think the prices were high. But, maybe knowing the brand and what the brand usually cost, may help to understand their pricing. Maybe about 12 years or so ago when my nephew was having his home built, he got most of his kitchen appliances (most brand new), from the restore and at that time, he received some pretty good items at some good prices. Amazing how times have changed.

I knew me, when I saw ZEP I would just buy it, and sort out what I have later. I paused. $7.95 for a damaged label of $55-$60 product. Frankly, I think that whole gallon shelf needs to be mine, and I did not look up the others yet. If they empower their managers I would offer $100 for those 2 pallets of wood scraps I think they called them. If turned down, then $150, $200.

I find the prices at Habitat ridiculously high. I rarely go in there because of it. I don’t know who sets the price but they are crazy. Same thing is happening in many thrift stores. That mirror could be bought at Home Goods for half the price.
