They are a Swiss/Geman band. Lead singer is Melissa Bonny, she started it in 2018 as a solo project, and it turned into a full band. 3 albums to date, this is from their 2nd in 2021. Melissa has another band called Dark Side of the Moon. More Ad Infinitum, try Upside Down, Seth, and Marching on Versailles. For the Dark Side of the Moon band try The Gates of Time.

Melissa Bonny was born in the French-speaking part of Switzerland, which is why French is her native language. When she starts school, she joins the school choir and receives ongoing support. In 2015 she was part of the original line-up of the trance metal band Rage of Light: RAGE OF LIGHT - Mechanicals (OFFICIAL VIDEO) In 2018 she founded Ad Infinitum (Latin for Until Infinite) as a studio project. They quickly become more successful than Rage of Light, she leave the band and the studio band becomes her live band. They only wore the masks for a short time. Because of the high cost of living in Switzerland, she moved to Germany, which is why the band is made up of Germans. You can't go wrong with Melissa Bonny (and Ad Infinitum). If you like the song, you can pick up any other of the three albums and you won't be disappointed. Animals, From the Ashes, Seth, Inferno, Somwhere Better and all the others are just great. It's also worth listening to the site project The Dark Side Of The Moon, which was already mentioned in the comments (consisting of her, Hans Platz and Jenny Diehl from Feuerschwanz and Morten Løwe Sørensen from Amaranthe - as well as Korbinian Benedict from Ad Infinitum during live performances). They reinterpret famous soundtrack themes but also write their own songs. 🤘🦄🤘

Ahhh, Melissa Bonny. She's so awesome! As already mentioned, "New Horizons" by Dark Side of the Moon featuring Melissa is absolutely incredible. Also check out "Somewhere Better" from Ad Infinitum. Both songs create chills and tears.

Melissa is one of the most talented voice I've heard, the other is , of course Fabienne Erni (ELUVEITIE, ILLUMISHADE). Swiss has now two other things to offer, rather than chocolate cheese or watches.... Melissa also sings in the band : THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON. the first album (metamorphosis) is amaazing. It includes the duet with Fabienne Erni : New horizons. TRY IT !

@@poohbear4702 I can't speak to why this song is chosen from Ad Infinitum. I like this band but I haven't been listening to them long enough to be super familiar with all their songs. When I'm recommending a band to a reactor they've never heard before I try to think of a song that is a good representation of the band overall. Also I make it a point to avoid songs with a guest performer. That song is not always their best or most popular. Like I said I'm not super familiar with Ad Infinitum. Is this song a good overall representation of the band? If the answer is yes that is a possible explanation for why this song is a popular starting point.

@@seattan I mean I'm not an expert on their music either. I've listened to 3 of the 4 albums all the way through. I just thought songs like Animals and I am the Storm were more significant/popular.
