That song and album was released in 1980. Lots of catching up to do. There are 7 AC/DC albums prior to "Back In Black" They're first album was released in 1975. 9 others released after "Back In Black" Not sure if you are aware that there is THE SONG : "Back In Black" and THE ALBUM of the same name:"Back In Black" Of course THE SONG "Back in Black" is on the album. However that ENTIRE ?Back In Black" ALBUM is considered one of THE GREATEST albums ever made! Reason is because every song at that album is GREAT! But my FAVORITE song on that album IS "BACK IN BLACK" I bought that album when i first came out in 1980. And I still listen to it off and on. And every time I listen to it I feel the same POWER and GREATNESS in the song I felt when I first listened to it in 1980! I have never gotten tired of it! Or felt it to be played out. Unlike many people who believe you always have to hear something new when I listen to a song like "Back In Black" and a lot of other HARD ROCK songs. Not only ROCK. Other music too. I still hear it like I heard it for very first time. I will never get tired of listening to "Back In Black"

Well, that was worth it just to see a first reaction to Brian Johnson's voice. AC/DC was something they saw on a sewing machine (Alternating Current/ Direct Current) and they merely took it for a band name. Ac/Dc is an Australian band but the young brothers( Angus lead guitar in the school uniform and Malcolm Rythm guitar large white gibson) immigrated from Scotland with their parents. The original singer Bon Scott died in England and this singer Brian Johnston replaced him. Johnston is from New castle u.k.

You might be interested to know that the 2 guitarists (Malcolm and Angus Young) as well as the original lead singer were all born in Scotland and came to Australia as children. The original lead singer (Bon Scott) died in 1980 and they were very fortunate to replace him with this lead singer, Brian Johnson, who was living in UK. Interestingly, Bon Scott had heard him sing before he died and had commented to the band on how good he was. So they tracked him down in the UK and asked to hear him to audition. Brian was already an ACDC fan, so he agreed. Malcolm remembers the day: "We were all sitting there going, Where's this guy Brian? He should have been here an hour ago. 'Oh him? He's downstairs playing pool with the roadies' - so we thought, well, at least he plays pool." He sung Whole Lotta Rosie for the audition and it was agreed he would be the new lead singer. They then recorded the entire Back in Black album which was a worldwide success and had much more success after that. Many say it was ACDCs best album, whereas others preferred Bon Scott, although Brian was still awesome.
